So when I got home last night, somebody in my neighborhood BBQ'd and a craving rushed up in me with a fierceness, I tried to ignore it...avoid it all costs...(I'm on a diet ya'll) I ate a light healthy snack and went to bed. However, this morning that craving was still there and at 11am, the craving won....so I knew what I had to be done, lol. I went to http://grubhub.com and searched for food in my area, I discovered Mississippi Ricks, I looked at the menu and couldn't find what I wanted, so I called and I soon discovered they had EVERYTHING (that I wanted).
When I say...the food is GREAT... I mean it from the depths of my stomach, the tip of my tongue, and the sauce remaining on my fingertips. Special thanks to the manager, Karen (lets call her my new best friend, K.) They don't even deliver outside a 5 mile radius without a minimum $50 order and I live 7 miles away...but she made it happen and my stomach thanks her with much gratitude.
The food was every bit of delicious. I ordered the Link & Tip Dinner, it came with spaghetti and steamed vegetables. The proportions were good, not huge, but more than the average serving size and certainly worth $11 bux. The tips were tender and succulent, the sauce on them...not too sweet and just enough tang. The links were smoked to a custom perfection that took me back to those BBQs my grandma had back in the day (I think I might've even heard Marvin Gaye singing in the background lol). The spaghetti was good, I added a few drops of Lousiana's finest hot sauce, "yum". The vegetables gave the meal just the balance it needed... All I can add to that is that I am a fully satisfied customer :)
oh and the meal came with two slices of white bread too... can't tell you how they tasted I was full by then. (But it's just white bread, not homemade or extra special)
After all of that food i'm going to need a nap, and when I wake up I'm going to need to utilize that LA Fitness membership I pay for each month...smh.
