when JR opened couple of years ago, i was really happy to have discovered a jerk chicken "shack" so close to me. 2 years later, i've completely stopped frequenting this establishment.

would rather drive an extra 5 miles down to 79th for the real deal. the chicken here, of course, is better than anything doused with faux "jerk sauce" from BW3. It's also properly smoked. Curry goat isn't as pungent as some other Southside offerings and the sides, in retrospect, are relatively bland. for vegetarians, i'd strongly going with a steamed cabbage, red bean + rice combo, finished off with plantains. not that i'd actually go to this place as a vegetarian but... i still like it better than cafe trinidad tho!!!

when i'm in the hood, i still swing by, but everytime i go, just like the first time i was there 2 years ago, this place is dead....
