A group of us went here for my wife's birthday a year ago. Â Overall a fun experience. Â Food was good but I wouldn't be handing out any Michelin stars to them. Â The show is fun and tame enough to take grandma to. Â Good fun when they got us all to pose together in costume by the car. Â A bit campy as the actors/waitstaff (yes, they pull double duty) act in character but not to an annoying level. Â A good time but would only possibly do it again unless for a special event like the BoardWalk Empire season premiere they hosted. Â What can I say - once you've done it, some of the mystery of the experience is gone.
Review Source:My friend and I went to Tommy Guns this past Saturday and had such a great time. The food was fantastic (especially the bread!). I had prime rib and it was great. The wine selection was really nice as well. I had the Malbec which was really good.
The show itself was very entertaining and SO much fun! Our waiter, Rocco, was super attentive and very into his character. It felt like we were really in the 1920s! Then they all went on stage and things got really fun. The songs were great and perfectly harmonized. It was very interactive and so funny. They had great jokes that were specific to our audience and things that carried on throughout the night. Our emcee was very good and genuinely seemed to be having fun too.
Our waiter, Rocco, also had the table next to mine which brought more people than they had made the reservation for. (Showed up somewhat at the last minute too.) The waiter was super accommodating and stayed pleasant even though that made his job a bit harder. He didn't neglect our table at all either.
We had a great time and got fun pictures too! Overall a great night. Definitely something fun to experience whether it's your first time in Chicago or you grew up on the southside!
