After a five hour flight from Los Angeles, my friends and I were starving. Â To satisfy the craving, we could only think of one thing: Â White Castle.
Upon arriving in this location in the South Loop, we noticed that the entrance was locked for security. Â We were able to proceed with the order once we were buzzed in. Â One slider is a reasonable sixty cents. Â I placed my order of four sliders and fries to a kind lady that was safely positioned behind thick bulletproof glass. Â Good to know that White Castle invests in the safety of their employees.
As we awaited our order, we noticed why these security measures were necessary. Â I busted my camera and proudly took pictures of our delicacies; however, my friends questioned the wisdom of doing so. Â
The burger reminds me of the regular burgers that we can get at McDonalds. Â The difference being that they sell sliders and their burgers aren't loaded with mustard. Â The buns were wet from the grease of the burger and steam. Â Their fries taste like frozen fries that we could get at supermarkets. Â
5 stars for burgers with quality that can only be topped by the dollar menu at McDonalds and for security rivaled only by prison. Â
On a serious note....Folks....don't come to this part of town when it's dark.
