classy big lounge, buy bottles... drinks are too small and expensive. only reason i give it a 4 star and not 5 is because the dj plays a lot of old music and the crowd is kind of tacky... a lot of old women, and people from nasty neighborhoods. but otherwise, i enjoyed myself. and bouncers are nice not mean !!
Review Source:This review is for the club not the food. Â VERY expensive. Â Drinks are $8.00 - $12.00 for a small plastic cup. Â Cover is $10-$15. Â Paid 10 bucks to get in and there were only 8 people inside. Â
Saturday (Latin) nights have more people if the DJ is good, but still better clubs. Â Drive a few extra minutes up Roure 4 for Studio 4.
Top reasons not go here on a Saturday night:
1.Music is outdated and multiple rooms does not mean multiple dj's:
There are 2 choices of music. There is a lounging area to the left, a dance floor to the right and a backyard that all play 90's music up to 2003. To make matters worse certain songs are played more than once within the hour. The "Latin Room" is cramped. Imagine two and a half parking spots and 40 people packed in tightly trying to twirl at the same time. Â
2. Promoters are liars:
My friend called up to organize a birthday list. They told her her lady friends would be free and her guy friends would pay a discounted $10 cover if they all arrived there before 11. She made it clear she was not interested in bottle service but wanted to make sure her party would be able to get through the door without much hassle. When the party arrived the first thing the promoter did was try to take her credit card for ($150) bottle service in order to let her guests in. She refused to pay and demanded to speak to management but the promoter decided to drop the subject and let us in.
3. Cover:
It is my understanding that cover should be paid when
a) a good (as in current and relevant) dj / band is playing for the night
b) you are in a highly trendy chic nyc club
c) the club is phenomenal. there are fountains and lights and waterfalls with flames all around.
The music played here is not worth the 15 bucks they ask for. If you want to listen to "If i was a rich girl" or "No scrubs" Â twice within the hour be my guest but i honestly think the place should advertise itself as such. If it wants to be known as the last place in NJ where you can listen to music you danced to at your high school prom eight years ago than it should say that in bold letters so the rest of us don't go. Teaneck is a but nice little town but it's not nyc. Enough said. And as for the club it's decent but i didn't even see a fish tank or a fake plant for that matter. It's not a classy place. Therefore, there is no reason one should have to pay a cover.
