Uncle Remus

Oh yea...this chicken gives me goose bumps just thinking about it.  After I moved from the Southside and broke up with Harold...I didn't think I'd fine anyone better, but then a friend introduced me to Remus.  I must admit, I was skeptical at first.  His neighborhood is a lil rough, but once you get pass the DVD & Loose Squares guys standing out front, and have a little patience, cause it's gonna be a wait...you're be introduced to your new uncle!

Harold's Chicken vs Uncle Remus...

This is a debate that you will always here in some barbershop or hair salon in Chicago. I still don't have a preference, but if I were to pick on I'd have to go with Harold's.  The chicken here is good, so good that there is always a wait.  They will take your order over the phone, but wont start preparing it until you actually get there to pick it up. The food is awesome, the wait, not so much. Will I be back? No, but I will send my husband :-)

Years ago my coworker would bring these to work for us.  They were sooooooo good and now I work on Madison and am soooo excited this is right down the street from me ...I will be visiting on my lunch breaks!!!
