Came to Union to get some food, beers and catch a game.
The atmosphere is cool, nice layout. Â It is pretty pricey for craft beers, but I guess that is the norm to pay $7 for a decent pint these days. Â I got the Pear Gorgonzola Flat Bread, which was not very good, unfortunately. Â It tasted like mayonnaise on pizza dough. Â I've definitely had better at other local establishments (83 degree in Carlsbad was amazing).
Overall, the service was good and they had some good reggae music playing, perfect for a "Sunday Funday" atmosphere. I would be open to trying something else and hoping for better tasting food next time.
Meh. Looked like a hot spot. Always packed so we had made a point to check it out. The menu was very meaty. Has some veggie items, almost nothing vegan, but appreciated that they pointed out the items that were gluten free. When our food came it looked so foreign we had to ask the waitress what was what on our plate. Our dinner was good- the Scottish salmon with lentils and the local greens salad, the beers and drinks overpriced so we didn't bother ordering any. We ordered the moon pies for dessert- not as expected. It was like unsweetened chocolate cookies, very dry, and then deep fried in tempura. Also came with a hazelnut shake which was not at all sweet as expected. We didn't even finish the dessert, and my boyfriend and I are HUGE dessert people. Cool atmosphere, but we probably won't be back for the food, and we can find cheaper drinks elsewhere. Wonderful service though!
