We recently came here for my husband 40th birthday dinner, and I must say the way one of the best experience we had at a restaurant in awhile! Our server was Stephanie, was the best!!! We was extremely friendly and was always checking in to see how everything was throughout our visit. Â She had great knowledge of the menu and had great recommendation. Â Thanks Stephanie, we will definitely be back soon!!! And we will request for you to be our server!!!
Review Source:Awesome food. Awesome customer service. Go there, you won't be disappointed!
We hadn't been back here in about 3 years, for no particular reason. I guess Uno kinda got overlooked with all the other restaurants along Lone Tree.
We were greeted upon entering and seated immediately. Our server was Josh. Very bubbly, energetic and very personable. He took our drink order and brought them back in a quickness. The place wasn't dead at all and there were plenty of other patrons so I was surprised to get our drinks so quickly.
For our appetizer we had the Shrimp & Crab Fun-Doo. You've got to try it! Again, Josh our waiter recommended it and I'm happy to say I'm glad he did. Every last morsel was gone! It is a blend of shrimp, crab, small diced tomatoes and Parmesan cheese served HOT. With warm baguette slices of garlic bread you spoon on the dip, if you dip it straight in it gets gooey ooey with the cheese strings, so use your spoon. Its to die for! I think its a bit pricey at $11.79.
I had the Baked Haddock w/roasted veggies and a Caesar side salad. The haddock had a crumb topping that had the perfect buttery crunch and it was baked perfectly. Not over or under baked. It was wonderful tasting. I definitely get it again and I would recommend to others. The veggies were a bit over cooked and soggy but I ate them none the less.
Hubby had the Chicken Parmesan and it was huge! Big portion of chicken breasts on a bed of penne. The chicken was coated with panko crumbs and covered with mozzarella. Hubby stated that it "tasted really fantastic!"
From the kids menu we got the kids cheese pizza. Average looking restaurant kids pizza.
All in all we enjoyed the atmosphere, hearing a few Happy Birthday being sung by the staff. It was a wonderful relaxing evening out.
*I called when we were about 10 minutes away and that's why we were seated immediately. The hostess had set aside our table. I recommend you call ahead.
Remember to grab a Takeout Menu on your way out!
The deep dish pizza is always good here. No other place can match UNOs. The número UNO is a classic. The usually BYOP (build your own pizza) but my wife doesn't like the pizza I create. It has a little bit of the Chicago type look when you go in. My wife and I had the chocolate strawberry pizza for dessert. A new item from their new menu. It was delicious. I liked the doughiness, the chocolate syrup and the ice cream. The strawberries are a good add too. I liked the old menu better but with the times moving to healthier menu item choices, it fits right in.
Review Source:I ordered some pizzas online, but there was a technical glitch and it didn't go through. The staff was very friendly, very apologetic, and was able to get a rush order in for me right away. They also gave me a free drink and a ten dollar gift card as compensation for the botched order. Despite the mixup, I will consider myself a very satisfied customer and will definitely come again. Delicious pizza as well! And an excellently diverse gluten free menu!
Review Source:We came here with a large group for pizza and drinks a few weeks ago and were very happy with our experience.
As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted warmly (at the door) by a manager and server. The led us to our tables which were set and ready for our large party. They promptly took our drink orders and answered any questions we had about the menu.
We ordered several drinks and a variety of pizzas. We got the cheese and tomato, farmer's market and Chicago classic- all deep dish. Everything was delicious--especially the Chicago. The crust was soooo good, crisp, flaky...it was yummy. The sausage was good quality and they were generous with the toppings. All of the veggie toppings were fresh. Everyone in our party raved about the food.
The service was so friendly and attentive. They took really good care of us. The restaurant is nice and clean.
We will definitely return when we are in the area.
Two Words: CHEESEBURGER PIZZA
Yes, you heard me right! I discovered this off the menu item a few years ago when it was just a seasonal item. If you ask for it by name, they will make it for you. I swear to you on all that is good in this world, that if you like cheeseburgers AND pizza, that this is the best of both worlds and you CANNOT go wrong! Try it...and you'll be hooked forever. Or don't try it, and miss out and the greatest thing since sliced bread!
Here I have to get into my idea of rating businesses according to  expectations. Thus, a nice experience at, say, a Hampton Inn, might be well rated where the same experience at The Ritz would be considered below par. So it is with UNO's. Our first time there was on a Christmas day when our plans for a nice dinner in SF had gotten scotched for some reason and we went looking for a place to have a beer or two and a little food. The only place we could find that was open was UNO's. We had misgivings. Neither of us is a fan of Chicago style pizza and that is really all we knew about the place. But we went in. The first surprise was the beer selection. We are both picky beer drinkers with different tastes and had no expectation that we would both find something we liked. But they have a well thought out beer menu with something to please everyone. The menu was not that bad either, nothing brilliant but some decent items we both liked. We commiserated with the waitress on having to work of Christmas Day and made a friend.
We have been back a few times. Â I cannot say that it will ever be our go to place but it is a nice change. If you like Chicago style pizza you might like it a lot.
I gave it one star because it wouldn't allow me to give zero! I recently went for appetizers and the bartender "highly recommended" the beef tacos. He stated it was the best and rated it above the chicken tacos. I took his word and ordered up the beef tacos. All I have to say is that this bartender has a palate like a slab of cardboard! Â The beef tacos were smashed up meatballs in a marinara sauce! Â NASTY!!!! Â I ordered the chicken tacos and yes he was right, those were horrible... Chicken in a marinara sauce.... Not impressed to say the least! Â I won't be going back there at all
Review Source:3.5 Stars.
Drinks are expensive. Sangria tasted like cough syrup.. so do not order that. Our server and the manager was kind enough to have it wiped out of the tab.
A Grey Goose and Tonic is $10!
Open Late which works really well for me.
The sliders are excellent! I will come back here to try more from the menu..
but so far I am a fan of the Sliders!
I can really only comment on the cozy little bar they have at Unos since that is where I always sit. I was there with a friend, when the power went out one afternoon & not only did they not kick everyone out...we ended up having a blast while the lights were out for a good hour or more. This is typical of my experiences here.
The good stuff is:
~If you sit in the bar, the happy hour food specials are served ALL THE TIME!
~The bartender always seems to remember me even though I only go here every 4 months or so.
~ Service is quick, and friendly without being intrusive or irritatingly friendly. Not easy to pull off.
~Steak on a Stick & the Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas are excellent.
~ Best Irish Coffee around.
~The house wine is Hannah Nicole.
~ The crowd is a mix of ages, but always friendly and well mannered.
Room for improvement & the only reason I didn't give 5 stars:
~ The happy hour pizza is super salty
~ The piped in music can be incredibly loud
~ It can be drafty, especially during the summer months when the AC is cranked up high.
Definitely, my default happy hour pick, especially if I miss that 3 hour window of opportunity.
Nice place.
I'll have to try the pizza again.
My hors d'oeuvres came out at the bar at the same time
which means my second dish was getting cold by the time I ate it.
Nachos were cold and disappointing. Wings could've been good ...hot!
Beers are cold, staff is nice, owners are available/approachable.
Good choice for family or stopping in to watch the game at the bar.
The pizza here is pretty good. Â We had their Numero Uno, some wings, and a pitcher of their Peach Mango Blush Sangria. Â Their pitchers of sangria are a great deal. Â I highly recommend getting it. Â The wings were pretty good...I love my wings...I couldn't get enough. Â And, the Numero Uno, the signature pizza, for Uno Chicago Grill was delicious. Â The chocolate chip cookie w/ ice cream was just decent though. Â It wasn't as good as our waiter had hyped it up to be, but I think I've just been spoiled by the sheer awesomeness of Black Angus' chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. Â It's all in the dough really...the dough makes the cookie...it makes the dessert.
Service is OK here. Â They're nice, but sometimes it's hard to find them when you really need them. Â Our waiter also only gave us two glasses for the sangria when their were four of us in table. Â I had to ask the manager for two more glasses because I hadn't seen our waiter for a considerable time. Â Our server though was good when he was around, just MIA sometimes.
Anyways, I can't wait to try the original UNO in Chicago, IL next month. Â Looking forward to it that's for sure. Â I have no idea if Uno Chicago Grill is affiliated with the Uno in Chicago, IL though! Â I could find out, but I think I'll just be lazy about it.
Only came because I had a  $15 for $30 worth of food. Came on a Saturday for lunch and def not packed. Server was nice and informative.
So we ordered...
-UNO pizza special: regular size for $18.99. Are u freaking kidding me. It was a size medium and the pizza was not good. Ur basically paying for all the crust Chicago pizza is known for. My bf hated it! Â He said in his words "I'd rather go to little ceasers and get their $5 pizza than eat this sh*t again"
-BBQ burger: was a typical burger nothing special not big at all. Although I enjoyed their fries.
-fish n chips: they took one whole filet of fish and fried it. My niece said she liked it. The fish looked flakey but I dno about moist it was falling apart as she took pieces from it.
Our server was pretty much MIA after our food came. No refills no nothing. Finally after sitting at the table for 15 minutes not eating and waiting I got her to get me the check.
I didn't like how I had to give her my phone cuz she said she had to show her manager. Ummm who the f are u and where r u taking my phone is what I thought. Not so professional if u tell me. It's like hello just wire down my groupon # or bring the paper so u can cross my name out. But they should never tAke a customers phone away..
So for 3 lunch meals Groupon= $30 plus we had to add $26 so...
$56.00 for 3 ppl during lunch time, I think not!! Not gna come here again.
I absolutely LOVE Uno's. And I can't believe I haven't given them a review!!
Customer service alone can make or break a situation for me. And I can honestly say that this place has some fantastic employees. From when they first opened up a few years ago to today, they've always hired servers with great personalities, always ready to accommodate you.
If you have can find a booth in the bar, snatch one up as fast as you can. You can be served dinner in there, but what I really love is their snack hour menu. Great deals on half-size appetizers, all around $2.99 / $3.99.
Must haves are...
Shrimp & Crab Fundoo (I know it sounds tacky, but it's fucking delicious) - if you get the snack hour version, it's served with white and blue tortilla chips, but if you get the actual appetizer, it comes with slices of toasted garlic baguette.
Burger Slider - Great quality beef and a yummy, spicy cheese. I don't even like burgers, but I eat the shit out of those things whenever I go.
Avocado Egg Rolls w/ Tamarind Cashew dipping sauce - It really didn't sound too appealing at first, but with that sauce, it was fantastic.
I haven't really encountered anything I really didn't like.
Whenever it comes to my main entree, I always go with one of their deep dish pizzas. The crust alone just melts in your mouth. The Numero Uno deep dish is my favorite. IT HAS A SAUSAGE LAYER, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. You can't go wrong with a sausage layer.
Their drink menu is delicious. The bartenders there are really talented. I've drank at a lot of restaurants, and they've made the most generic, watered down drinks. I'm strictly a jack & coke type of person, but when I go there, it's one of the few times I get adventurous with my drink orders.
Dessert. Oh, dessert. DEEP DISH COOKIE SUNDAE. Crispy crust, soft gooey center. Hot as balls with a nice scoop of ice cream on top. You can either get chocolate chip or white chocolate macadamia. So many more, but god - I can't tear myself away from that dessert.
The atmosphere alone makes the whole experience worthwhile. It's the type of place you feel comfortable just hanging out in for awhile. Whenever I just want to hang out with friends, and just relax, stuff my face, drink, and talk too much, Uno's gives you the right amount of loudness so you feel more candid and free, but not so loud you're literally screaming at the people sitting in front of you.
All in all, always a good time, whether its with friends or family. Or you just want to watch baseball and get wasted alone. The bartenders and servers are greaaat conversationalists :)
After a doctors appointment up the street, my husband and I decided to come here for a late lunch/early dinner.
The night before we went online to review the menu. Â We scanned the different items and then we got to one item listing... Lobster Sliders.
That was the only thing that we banked our entire trip on.
For a Monday afternoon it was not busy at all. Â We got a great big booth for our whole baby thing we have going on.
Even though we had already read the menu we gave it one more scan. Â My husband was also checking out their cocktails.
They had no custom cocktail menu to speak of. Â So he went with a Cosmo then a Lemon Drop.
To start we had an order of Avocado Rolls. Â Then we ordered two each of the Lobster Sliders. Â You can order two or three. Â Two is a pretty good sized meal.
Avocado Rolls were slightly mushy but I'm sure it's hard to deep fry an avocado. Â They were ok, but not note worthy. Â
Wait, I'm writing a note about them so that's out the door. Â They were blah, even the dipping sauce was blah.
Our sandwiches came next. Â We both ordered fries. Â The Lobster was surprisingly cold. Â I guess I assumed it was going to be like a Lobster Roll, which are normally warm.
The Lobster was very flavorful though. Â Surprisingly flavorful actually. Â Almost 4 star worthy.
It also came with this weird lettuce. Â It was romaine lettuce that was cut in a way that it resembled string confetti. Â Not like shredded lettuce but long stands of dark green romaine.
It hung all weird off the smallish buns. Â I'm mean hung down like 2 1/2 inches. Â It was weird and awkward to eat at moments.
I loved the Lobster though. Â It was very good. Â Oh, and the fries were piping hot and crunchy like I like them.
I don't think that we will be making special trips here but for a random day off trip it was perfect.
Heavenly father please forgive me for I have sinned...
1. I've broken my cardinal rule of NOT Yelping about chains anymore.
2. I ate too good, I think that falls under the Gluttony sin
Response to #1: Following said cardinal rule has kept me from giving places like Uno Chicago Grill their just accolades. With that said I have lifted my ban and put the "chains" back on ;-)
Response to #2: Uno's is the place you want to go to get all "sinny" with it. The food is phenomenal, the staff are always accommodating and it always puts a smile on my hubby's face after a bad day at work.
Where else can you go for a chillax atmosphere, awesome burgers/fish n' chips, great drinks and welcoming peeps?
Yeah, that's what I thought! :)
Woohoo! As good as it gets! (for a chain mind you.) This was my second visit here, and both visits have been exceptional. The wait staff are on it. Friendly, prompt and eager to please, not to mention quite nice to look at. Who ever is responsible for doing the hiring here definately made sure to spinkle in some hotties, and for that I say Thank You!
The menu includes a vast selection of entrees which makes me happy, I cringe at the sight of the typical chain menu which is usually nothing more than your "safe" Â chicken strips, burgers and BLT's... not that those are bad, they just aren't anything to write home about.
If your plan is to drink your dinner, there is a very inviting bar area with your standard mixed drinks, imports & domestics but also an assortment of regional drafts both tap & bottled, as well as a well endowed wine list.
We need one of these little gems here in town!
I was pleased to find out that they served strawberry lemonade even though it wasn't on the menu. Their steak has always been a hit or miss for me, sometimes its cooked the way I like it but other times its really dry. You have to try their chili! Omg it is delicious, my gf and I always make sure to order this as an appetizer. The panini was not good at all...i guess that's what I get for ordering something that didn't have a picture :(
But all in all a good place to eat around brentwood. They are known for their deep dish pizzas but I am not a fan not because of them...i just don't like deep dish pizzas. Thick, raw tomato sauce on my pizza? No thank you! I'll stick to the NY style pizzas!
Mmmm....You are not bad Uno....I like the name as well as the  rustic, Chicago interior not to mention some suprisingly tasty food.
I have been here quite a few times and have yet not been dissapointed. The decor of this place is just way cool. Very Chicago brewery style, yet comfortable and relaxing.
There chicken cordon blue rocks! Smaller than your average restaurant size, though winning in taste. There cranberry walnut salad is your typical salad-nothing spectacular though tasteful and satisfying.
There chicken quesadillas were slammenly delicious! With melt in your mouth cheese, inwrapping thick juicy chunks of chicken all incased within a thick soft tortilla bursting with flavor! Mmmm!
Most recently when going with a friend one night for drinks, I was extremely impressed with how friendly and accommodating the staff and bartender were. I started off with the Lemon Drop Martini which I usually love but this one wasn't exactly bonding with my taste buds so the bartender gladly made me my favorite Apple tini and it was applicious!!The bartender was upbeat and prompt with orders! Mmm and the mozzarella cheese sticks are not bad and the perfect appetizers to go along with your drinky drinks! Not to mention the prices are pocket friendly.
I have still yet to try there deep dish pizza, which is supposed to be one of there specialties, which I Â anxiously look forward to trying some time! With that being said, I will be back on a splurge day to try some more of there tasty chicago style dishes!
Uno has always been the dinner spot for my friends before a big event, like homecoming, in high school. We went here again today for a late lunch to catch up.
Burger Sliders: $9.99 for 3 sliders, fries, and a pickle. These little babies are different from other restaurants' mini burgers, because of their spicy cheddar cheese and special burger sauce. I ate two and saved one for later. They gave an abundant amount of fries--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I like to dip mine in ranch, which was free.
Dessert: For your birthday, you can get a free deep dish sundae. Warm giant chocolate cookie, scoop of vanilla ice cream, and hot fudge drizzled over the top. Makes a yummy treat to split between a few people.
Service: Waitress was friendly and kept refilling our drinks. Even though it was a hassle to split the check four-ways, she happily obliged. There was only a slight mix-up between a debit card transaction and my other friend's order who was paying with cash, but she gave us the correct change in a timely fashion.
Location: It is a bit further down Lone Tree than I usually venture out to (because I rarely go to Walmart or Denny's or that shopping mall).
Parking: I always manage to find a spot. If the lot in front of the main door is full, then you can swing around and park near Denny's.
I've been here once before during lunch time and never really thought much about it since and that was a year ago.
BS
- similar to BJ's, just not as good
- Uno's is a franchise but I think all the other Uno's have closed
- Full bar with a decent amount of beers on tap
- Chicago style pizza, pasta and etc are aiiiight
I went here last night for a friend's birthday. You can reserve a table if you have a large group - which is a plus for you restaurant celebrant types. We were early so we got a few beers and watched the Giants game in the bar area. Bartenders were all right. The guys were cooler and nicer then the girl that was there. She was kind of rude but luckily she wasn't serving us.
Once everyone in our group arrived we were seated immediately. There was a table ready for 12 and I was impressed. But it wasn't super busy at Uno's especially for it being on Lone Tree and it being Saturday night around 8.
They have a lot of beverages to chose from. We got Blue Moon which was on tap. Nice to have some decent ales and etc type beers besides the normal Bud and Coors. They do have Hef, but I didn't incline this time.
I shared a regular size pepperoni pizza with a friend. It was decent size, about 6 slices of deep dish. The deep dishes usually come with a chunky tomato sauce, so if you don't like CHUNKY tomatoes then have them use the marinara which isn't all that great. The crust on the pizza is a lot like a pie and not so much of the same style as BJ's. I prefer BJ's any day. I also got a side salad and it was nothing out of the ordinary. It was fresh and tasty.
Much like BJ's, Uno's has something similar to the pizookie but its a macadamia nut cookie instead of chocolate chip. I didn't taste it but my boy said it was good. The birthday boy also got one as well on the house.
Overall, Uno's is an all right place. I'd much rather have BJ's any day. In fact, BJ's is supposed to opening in Sun Valley Mall soon. But that's just what I've heard. Prices aren't super great, our pizza was 20 bucks and I thought we felt jipped after.
It's funny how this restaurant has been around for like 3 years, and this is only my second time here.
Wanted to find a good lunch spot that served on the fast side for me and my folks. Found this cool 10 for 10 deal at Uno's. 10 dishes under 10 dollars served under 10 minutes. Talk about 10's! And they all come with a bowl of soup or salad.
Both my parents got the fish and chips, and I got the spinocolli deep dish pizza. The salads were mediocre -- your typical lame garden salad. My mom got the cesar, which she thought didn't taste ceasr-y at all.
My spinocolli pizza was awesome. The crust was flaky. And I had some leftover to take home. As for the fish and chips, it only came with one fillet, which was pretty lame. But for a fish and chips dish that costed 7 bucks, that's pretty much all you're going to get. The french fries were decent.
Overall, not a bad lunch. 30 bucks for 3 people.
Date night again. Â This time, we planned a double date with our good friends, J&S who live near Sacramento. Â I know that we live in the suburbs (Walnut Creek), but when driving out to Antioch, I kept thinking . . . now THIS is REALLY suburbia. Â I'd been to this Unos two or three times, each time to J&S (Antioch and Brentwood are more or less the central location).
The food was quite good, with one notable exception. We ordered the Fisherman platter to share, which was fried, fried, and more fried food: fried calamari (note to Toni M, they DID have tentacles, though sparsely), fried fish, and fried shrimp (I skipped the shrimp because of my allergies). Â AND fries and onion strings. Â I had asked to substituted out the french fries for the double baked potatoes, but they ended up bringing BOTH the fries AND the baked potatoes. The notable exception on the food front was the Caesar salad; it's a particular pet peeve to have salad that is soggy and drowning with dressing, and this Caesar had enough dressing for two salads. Bleech!
Even better than the food (aside from that sloppy Caesar) was the service. I'd already mentioned the substitution of the potatoes. In addition, our server had eagle eyes on our drinks. Before we could drink the last sips, he had replacements out to us (and remembered which type of soda belonged to which drinker). Apparently, they were vetting a new chef and took a little too long with the food; I was happily chatting away with our friends, so I hadn't even noticed the delayed main courses. Our server came to apologize for the delay and told us that the manager was giving us dessert on the house; we picked the brownies w/ ice cream to share, but our server informed us that we could EACH get a dessert (we didn't take him up on that, as we were plenty stuffed with sharing that big dessert). Â It's the service that decided whether this would be a 3 or a 4 star review.
Will I be back? Â Yes, probably in a few months or so; we meet us in the middle for "double date night" somewhat frequently, but it'll take another few months for this spot to make it back on the rotation.
Tip: I don't know if this is a deal that is only going on now or if it's always offered (but I do remember it from the LAST time I was here), but you can buy $25 gift card and get a $5 gift card for yourself. They do not specify that you have to give away the $25 gift card, so you can have $30 for the price of $25.
During lunch on our East Bay wine tour "Unos" was mentioned for lunch. Being from Chi-town I miss the stuffed Chicago pizza and my taste buds, upon hearing the word began to salivate. Â Luckily, I did not have to drag my car mates kicking and screaming.
So how does Uno's break down?
We were told specials that were not available and then the manager landed up honoring them. Which was nice.
Service was fine. Nothing too special.
Pizza? I'm happy. I don't know why they claim my pizza could feed 2 -3 people, it should only feed 2. Made just the way it should be.
Uno now has $1.99 dessert specials. Brownie sundae, apple crumble, and a cookie skillet all really good and a perfect small portion for a great price.
Uno's is not my favorite Chicago pizza but it is my favorite Chicago pizza outside of Chicago. Now I know where to go I will go more.
Was up in the area to celebrate a friends birthday and he suggested that we go to Uno's for dinner. The last time I was at an Uno's was probably 4 - 5 years ago. The decor here isn't much different than the Uno's I remember so many years ago. Kind of an old style pizza joint with plenty of Americana decor all the way around. We got here around 6 PM on a Saturday and while busy, the 4 of us was able to find a seat right away.
When I got the menu, I was half going through my mind what kind of Pizza that I wanted, but when I got this monster menu, I was going WTF... I guess over the years Uno's has gone from just a Pizza & Bar joint to full on menu like a TGIFs. Besides their deep dish pizza, they now have pasta, chicken, steaks, ribs, seafood, burgers, salads, and a lot of sides beyond the breadstick option. They also now have a full bar when i remember you could only get beer. Prices here are reasonable, for the most part, expect to pay between $8 - $15 for most items.
So after going through the menu, I decided to get their BBQ Bacon Burger, my wife got the Veggie Burger, my friend's fiance got the chicken, and my friend got a pasta dish. We got a couple of beers and chatted for a bit.
First up was my wife's "side" salad. There is hardly anything "side" about it, it was pretty good. In general it tasted fresh and was a decent house salad with plenty of veggies. We chatted more and then came our meals. My burger was a pretty good size and was done just right. The bacon tasted fresh and not like it was sitting there forever. Only disappointment was that it hardly had any BBQ sauce on it. The fries here was good size and there was plenty. My wife thought her veggie burger was ok. nothing special beyond your typical Garden Burger. My friends seem to enjoy their meal too.
Next up we got a bit of dessert. At $2 for a mini, it was too good to pass up. My friend and I both got the mini brown bowl. Nothing "mini" about it as it was the size of a regular dessert at most places. Best part, since it was my friend's Birthday, all the waiters and waitresses came out singing Happy Birthday to my friend. He was supper embarrassed and promised to get revenge on me.
Overall, I would probably give Uno's a 3 Star rating. But the service here was pretty good and the fact that the waitress got the loudest people there to sing my friend Happy Birthday, get them an extra star for a 4 Star rating. Overall, not a bad option and a well spent $85 including tip for a good 4 Star birthday experience for my friend and with plenty of leftovers.
I like this place. Â It has a cool menu and the food is pretty consistent and delicious. Â I've been there mid day and for dinner. Â The pizza is quite good, but so are the other items. Â The don't have pork ribs, but the pork item is very good and possibly much better than regular ribs. Â
This is not the cheapest place to eat, but it's not bad. Â Parking is ok here. Shared parking lot and I've always found a place. My youngest daughter is a huge fan, so I'll be back.
When I was younger I went to the Unos near fishermans wharf and the one on lombard, they used to have a seafood pizza back then too.
anyhow, i realized after the lombard one closed down that i would never have the chance to try their wonderful pizza~ *sniff*
but i decided to search a bit and see what i could find and i realized that they had one in Antioch...hahaha i used to live in antioch when i was a lil kid..only stayed there for about 3 years or so. But anyways, the drive to Antioch seemed a bit longer than usual....but after an hour and a half or so, i finally reached Uno's.
Luckily it was packed and i sat down and ordered the crab fondue and a two deep dish pizzas. The crab fondue comes with sliced baguettes and you pretty much just dip and eat but beware its mighty hot and you will burn your tongue if your not careful.
The deep dish pizzas tasted wonderful~ just as good as i remember them as. The crust was nice and bit crunchy, the toppings were great. I have to say it was well worth the drive.
so the food was great, service was wonderful and there is plenty of parking.
just a note, Antioch's crime rate has increased over the years so just play on the safe side. I have heard many many stories about that place and its just not as good as i remember it being back when i was a kid.
I have never tried a deep dish pizza before and my jolly ol buddy got excited for it reminded him of his past love: Uno's deep dish pizzas. So we decided to head out there ALL the way from SF to Antioch to get some pizza.
I had a grand lunch meal here for only $8.95. I chose their sausage deep dish pizza with a Ceaser salad. I am seriously in love with their thick, flaky, and buttery crust. It is absolutely delicious and oh-so filling. What makes a deep dish pizza different from your average one is that its layered with the cheese and whatever topping you choose and then the tomato sauce is slathered on top. Their cheese was so thick, I seriously almost choked ( I should have listened to my buddy to go light on the cheese as he nearly choked on it during one of his past visits). It is extremely thick and you have to chew quite a while to break it down.
They're branching out their menu to include hamburgers, pasta and unique "asian" dishes on their menu--sorta like what Applebee's or T.G.I.F. have on theirs.
I really enjoyed my pizza. I thought it was very fulfilling and the decor was nice. They have booths and movie posters that made Chicago what it's famous for. If you're wiling to drive out here, it's worth it for sure. And the service was great.
My family likes it here. Â Now.... first time here had a so so very bad experience. Â The food was meh, the waitress was meh and the drinks were meh. Â I base alot of clout on the drinks at eateries. Â In fact I will choose restaurants that have better drinks and meh food. Â We did not go back to Uno's for a VERY long time. Â That was bad considering its super close to our house. Â I especially loved the total basura blanca in the booth in front of us trying to sneak a bunch of budweisers (YUCK) in and drink them like he was a big old red neck rebel - he got busted by one of the Uno's employees and tried to act all bad ass and I was totally embarassed for him. Â Take the dog tags off from around your neck if you are going to act stupid, soldier.
Well as luck would have it we did decide to go back and have done so on a number of occasions now. Â I love their happy hour here! Â Its crowded and loud - but the young bartender, whose name escapes me - rocks the long islands!
My twins love to make their own pizza here  - its fun and keeps them occupied. The food is good.
The calamari appetizer - YUM. Â I order it as my main course. Â
And whats this I see? Â They deliver now! Â I am a hard working mother and i love to go out and be waited on - but on the nights that I cannot make that happen its nice to know Uno's is only a phone call away!
We got take-out
Deep Dish pizza.
Very good, very good seriously. They have a ton of things on the menu worth trying out.I don't think I would come and order a chicken or pasta entree, but who knows.
A ton of yummy toppings, but what makes me want to come back here to eat is the Deep Dish Pizza and Guinness.
For a while, Uno's was the Go-To place for me and my girlfriends. Our favorite thing to do was jet out there right after work for Happy Hour -- you could basically eat your full of appetizer nachos and pesto pizza for under eight dollars. It was a steal!!
Speaking of appetizers, for some reason they were always really slow to get to us. I don't know if it's because we always looked so anxious to get them but it seemed that they took an unusual amount of time to "prepare."
Unfortunately for me and Uno's I don't think I will be frequenting this place very much in the future -- I recently found out how many calories are in the Farmer's Market Personal Pizza and it's almost twice as much as my allotted calories in a DAY. Uno's, I will miss you!
