V.F.W.
National Home
for Children
Today is Thanks Giving. I am so lucky to be in the U.S.A. It's time for me to think of others not so fortunate as part of giving thanks. I like to think of what i can do to share the wealth of living in the U.S.A.
Though i've never been there V.F.W. National Home for Children have kept track of their doings http://vfwnationalhome.o… and am sure they are just what they say they are. Have met some of the children and the staff at conventions and they made me proud to be a long time life member and supporter. These are the children of those men and women who gave their lives so you and I could enjoy the fruits of this great country. They died in support of you and me. The least I feel I can do is help support their orphans. National home also helps the family's of active military personal in need.
V.F.W.
We help all Vets.
and their families.
You don't have to be a member. To be a member one has to be a combat veteran.
We volunteered to help. We don't limit our help to members we are happy to help any Honorably discharged vet. or active duty personal. All the posts have a Service Officer who is trained to help with forms, insurance and a general knowledge of veteran problems like that; there are also district and national service officers. Some posts have surgeons and all have chaplains who are happy to help with hospital visitations and such.
Don't be shy we are happy to help. No veteran should be broke, destitute or homeless.
There are also other groups with similar goals and services, the American Legion, American Vets, Vietnam Veterans of America to name just a few very fine organizations there to help.
