  This is one of those times when I wish Yelp had 1/2 star ratings.  I would more accurately give the Viking Sports Bar a 2.5 rating.  When this place first opened I was very excited because it became the closest bar to my house.  I would say one half of the bar is cool because there are tons of TVs, bar games, video games, pool, darts, etc.  That side is fun.  The other side of the bar (where the actual bar is) is less fun for people under 45.  Neither the service or food is above average.  I absolutely do not like the fact that they have karaoke every night except Saturday night.  I don't know what it is about the North City area, but there are now two bars on 15th Ave NE that seem to specialize in karaoke for the older crowds.

  What I really appreciate is that there isn't a tv in your face at every angle like some sports bars. The burgers are delicious and they have the best fried pickle chips. Hope they retain this level of excellence as they get more popular.
