I've had some good sushi in Ballard but you simply cannot beat the sushi and cocktails here. Especially if you pop in for Happy Hour!
I happened upon this spot during ladies night and not only did I eat great HH priced food, I got a 1/2 price drink too.
I know there are skeptics (like myself) that want to think that maybe HH food quality isn't good or they skimp on portions, but I left here feeling so full and so happy that I wish I lived closer to Ballard just to take advantage of eating here more often. And the food was crazy fresh and delicious. Just thinking about it makes me wish I could eat there again tonight.
A fan of traditional sushi and sashimi, I ordered a little bit of everything. But also a proud fan of fusion and trying new things, I had to get the Super Bad Boy roll. It's ridiculously good and I can't visit without getting it.
What I also loved about this place was that while there's a very relaxed, fun, and casual feel, the food is taken seriously and so are the drinks. The bartenders weren't just mixing up sugary garbage, the menu was chock-full of interesting options with everything from shrubs to bourbon to sake.
Good sushi and great service. We stopped in during Seafoodfest, not knowing they had happy hour prices all day on Sunday. We thought the prices were fair and the quality of the sushi was good. The waiter kept our water glasses filled and we thought the service was very attentive. We really liked the decor as well.
We sent our first drink back with no hassle. We weren't big on the second drink, either, but I think if we stuck to basics we would have been OK.
We'd go back.
Great little sushi spot that we didn't even realize existed! Came to find out we were there when they were updating their menu so they were doing happy hour all the time! Ordered some drinks which came right away despite being so busy then ordered food which came just as quick as well. Kind of wish their sushi roll selection was a little bigger but for what they did offer, it was pretty damn tasty and cheap. Can't wait to come back!
