Oh Tractor Tavern, why has it taken me 6 long years of concert attendance without you? Boo hoo!
Saw American Authors and Royal Teeth here. The Colourist opened. I was very impressed by them. Glad to add another band to my fledgling list.
The sound here is fabulous, and it is a great venue size-wise. Big enough for lots of standing, with a few tables nearer the bar. Bar and door service was great.
Tickets are SO CHEAP. If you're ever bored in Ballard, just wander this way. The show I saw was THIRTEEN DOLLARS including taxes and fees. Odds are it will not be sold out, so save a few bucks and go $10 at the door. Anyone want to go? I'm buying!
Oh yay how I adore the Tractor, which has been around for a long spell! Â It is a terrific, smaller venue to see awesome live bands (last act I saw was Veronica Falls with Bleach....ahhhmazing) for uber reasonable and in many cases a chance to see some who might become bigger later on. Â And beer! Â You also get the bonus of Ballard Ave to partake in a bite or drink beforehand.
Review Source:I bought tickets to a show at the tractor from their website. Â They didn't have me on the list. Â Showing them that my credit card was charged wasn't enough. Â My friend didn't get to see the show either, since she didn't feel like going alone.
I can't say that the woman was rude, but it seems like a bit much to accuse me of lying over an $18 to a Johnny Cash cover band...
