I've got some fond memories of this place. It's been almost two years since I've stepped in the doors, but there was a time when I no longer needed to get carded on my way in.
I spent two summers in Geneseo, and if there was a saving grace to those hot, insanely quiet summers, it was being able to swing down to whatever bars were open, and the Vital Spot responded in spades.
I remember going to trivia nights (never winning but having a blast), coming for my friend's 21st birthday before most people ever got back and we essentially had the place to ourselves and kicking off the weekend with one of the best Fish Frys that I can remember and continue to long for.
I just hope it hasn't changed too much since.
This place actually has a really good food deal during the week. I don't remember what it was but go down there and do some research.
They make some pretty good mixed drinks and the bar itself is pretty clean for a college bar.
I always had a good time when I came here. And it's conveniently located across the street from the ATM machine that has money in it sometimes.
I was always a fan of the Vital when I was in school here. Â There was a good selection of beers, and the crowd was always felt more grown up than the other bars. Â I remember going there a lot of Thursday nights. Â I think it was quarter drafts.
I also remember getting a rainbow shot once or twice. Â Basically 5 different colored shots, all with different ingredients. Â The day I turned 21 and got my birthday mug, I drank for 4 hours straight. Â A great place that is worth stopping by if you are in Geneseo.
