Decent food but prices are not. There are so many great Italian/ pizza places in the area that we just don't feel the need to go here. Sandwiches aren't huge and the prices are somewhat high. Would rather spend my money elsewhere. I live in town and still don't understand all of the hype.

Whenever I am in Hopewell I have pizza at Vitos! Vitos is, in my opinion the flagship pizza place of the town. They have excellent Grandmas/Old Fashion pizza, with the thick slice and sauce on top of the cheese. Tried their rice balls, so delicious! And the prosciutto sandwich, with cheese, spinach onions and balsamic, oh, you would think you have died and gone to Parma!  The place can get busy for lunch and taken over by highschool crowd, but dont let that stop you from going. They expanded their building a while back and can handle a crowd.

As a native New Yorker, I'm pretty much spoiled to really good pizza. When I moved to Pennington, NJ I didn't expect to find anything comparable. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the pizza at Vito's. The shop was nice and clean, the staff friendly and most important of all, the pizza was good. It's not New York pizza but it sure come close.

Vito's food is much better when you eat it at the restaurant.  If you get a pizza delivered to your house, it's pretty rubbery by the time it reaches you.  I like their Brooklyn style pizza best, it has lots of chunky tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella.

Got lost looking for the post office and ended up here. The pizza is decent the layout is okay and the service is like any other pizza place. Prices aren't listed ANYWHERE so it's a bit scary to order anything. I'd go back but I'd never find this place again unless I was lost...

I hadn't visited for about 1 1/2 years so I thought it would be nice to stop by here one night.

I ordered the eggplant parmesan sub and my boyfriend had the sausage sub.

The eggplant was very good although it seemed heavy on the bread and light on the eggplant.  I asked for light on the cheese and they really prepared it with less cheese and I appreciated that.

Service isn't super friendly but it's ok.   The atmosphere is nice and isn't too loud. The place is pretty spacious and there is lots of seating.

I plan on returning in the future.

I stopped in for a quick lunch - The pizza looked pretty decent, however the area has multiple good pizza places. When I spotted the sandwiches coming out of the oven my heart skipped a beat and I was sold... grabbed a "Diamond Dave" -- pulled chicken with BBQ sauce and ranch served on foccaccia.  Very good, though I can swear it was made with buffalo sauce (yes, even better!).  Can't believe I never stopped here in my 5+ years of working in the area.

I have yet to meet a Vitos Pizza that I didn't like and this was no exception.

Thank you Yelp for helping us find this place.  On the way back from visiting family in NJ, we entered the town Pennington and pizza and took fellow Yelpers recommendations to try Vito's Pizza.  And we were so happy that we did.  It's hard to rate a pizza place 5 stars, but for what it is, a pizza joint, this place deserves it.

The food was fresh and delicious.  They had several kinds of pizza and topping which all looked good.  We ordered several slices of the sicilian which was some of the best I've had around the globe.  So good, that we ordered  more slices for the ride home.   We also took Matt Gs recommendation and ordered a slice of the Buffalo Chicken, which to our surprise, was also incredible!  A Capri salad for and we were in heaven.  It hit the spot!

As an added bonus, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive.

If you find yourself on Route 31 in Jersey, do yourself a favor and take a 0.8 mile detour to Vito's.  You'll be glad you did... as we were.

Pretty reasonably priced for such a high-strung area.

Their pizza is really good. I've also tried their soups and sandwiches which were very tasty as well.

Friendly staff. I've always had a good experience here.

Vito's has always been a treat for me. The place is tidy and the atmosphere is great. The pizza is delicious but it can be a bit pricey. After a slice I definitely recommend grabbing one of their chocolate chip cookies. They're gooey and warm, never failing to leave a smile on my face.

Get anything with the words Buffalo chicken in it.  Always my first food stop coming home from college.

Nice to see restaurants support local farmers.  The Kerr Farm Salad is delicious.  The tomatoes, cucumbers, and basil are the freshest and they're picked only two miles from here.

oh, Vitos. you will always remind me to lazy fridays in elementary school, ordering pizza and staying up late playing video games with my younger brother. the pizza is always good -- i still request it when i visit my mom, who still lives in pennington. she gets mad that i don't want her to cook, but HEY -- sometimes you need a little nostalgia in your life.

Average food, slightly worse than average prices, blah menu selection. You could do worse but you could do so much better in the area too.

Very fast home delivery. Price is good. Specialty pies rock. They have so much to pick from. I love going in and grabbing a few different slices. Vito's Pizza is located on Main Street in the heart of Pennington
I can only hope that they change their picture on this listing.  That is a paper plate with a sandwich just thrown on it.  Come on even McDonalds stages food.  Just trying to help

Some of the best pizza ever. I don't know what else I can say.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend who is a Pennington-ite?     I liked the atmosphere of Vito's.  It was comfy and cozy.  I also ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich on my friend's recommendation.  The sandwiches they have are served on their own baked ciabatta bread.  Vito's also has many different types of pizza from Sicilian to Chicago Deep Dish.  The sandwich took a bit to get made, but it was probably due to the amount of phone-in orders since I got there just before lunch.  The sandwich was delicious.  Soft, tender, juicy chicken, yummy cheese, creamy blue cheese, moderate spiciness, and a tasty ciabatta roll.

I'm definitely coming back here again if I happen to be around.  I wanted to try some of the pizza since it looked really good but I went with my friend's recommendation.

Vito's Pizza is located on Main Street in the heart of Pennington.  I went to school at the public schools in Pennington and often visited Vito's for a quick slice of pizza after-school with friends or before I started my part-time after-school job in town.

Their pizza is delicious, but very oily.  A friend of mine used to always blot her slices of pizza with napkins to absorb all of the excess oil before eating.

Vito's grew up with me, or rather I with it. When I was younger, Vito's was always a treat after a long day of school. Barely able to peer over the counter, a couple of slices of cheese pizza and powdered sugar zeppoles were perfect. Covered in white stickiness, and grease stains painted on my clothes - Vito's was the best.

A couple of years later, growing into myself and everything else - Vito's was the cool hang out. I'd cram into a booth and people watch with friends.  I'd also by this point, picked up the girly habit of blotting off the grease of my pizza with a napkin. Grease soaked napkins piled next to my vegetable pizza and water - Vito's still hit the spot.

Spring break from College; when I returned to visit my family - Vito's was the obvious choice, as soon as I got of the plane. Their gourmet buffalo chicken pizza, topped with blue cheese dressing - and lots of garlic was a new hit. The menu had definitely expanded alot since elementary school, as well as Vitos. No more napkin blotting. Bootilicious blared on the radio, as I ate.

Years later, a college graduate - a trip to Vito's would be the result of a lost Poker game. Armed with 200 dimes; - I traipsed down  to Vito's, intending to purchase a large pepperoni pizza - for the Poker Champion - my brother Owen. The same pizza guys were there.  There were even faces I recognized from middle school retrieving their take-out.  It was all so strange and unfamiliar, yet strangely so familiar. And then, as I basked in the nostalgia of it all, I was promptly awakened by a thick Italian accent:

"Excuse me miss - I'm cool with the 200 dimes and all; but you're short 34 cents." Damn you Owen.  No longer covered in powdered sugar - but still looking like an A$$ at good ole Vito's.
