Wahoo Willies & Billfish Bar

Wahoo Willie's is a typical beach restaurant offering typical beach fare (grouper sammie, chowder, steamers) along with typical American fare (wings, grilled chicken, salads).  The food and service are good, and the price points are reasonable, but the real reason to come is the al fresco dining and drinking.  There's no view to speak of, since the restaurant is located in the center of Times Square.  But still, there's nothing like a beer out in the sea air.  Even if it has to waft over a row of shops and restaurants to get to you.

It's worth noting that one time I was here, a grackle swooped in and took a french fry right outta my fingers as I was bringing it to my mouth.  So...you know the fries are good.

Wahoo Willie's is a decent seafood restaurant right near Ft. Myer's Beach.  The food here is okay, but it isn't the most fantastic in all of FMB.  The place prides itself on its grouper sandwich, which, again, is good but isn't the best.  Nice place to have lunch right by the beach nonetheless.

This place was ok, but for the price it wasn't all that wonderful. My grouper sandwhich was pretty well seasoned, but not the best I'd ever had.  Some of my family ordered steak that looked over cooked and not all that appetizing. The waitress wasn't all that friendly either and she seemed ready to leave and it was only 6PM or so. There are plenty of other places to eat around the area, so this would not be my first choice during future trips.
