Full bar and hooka (about $15)..Can't go wrong there.  They have beer pong and darts in the back.

A very large selection of hooka flavors and mixtures, I keep coming back for more.

The doorman was rude. I showed him my id and told him i was 24. He rejected me because it was a month before my 24th bday and he thought i was lying. He was clearly too drunk with illogical words. I explained to him a month did not make a difference. He assaulted me he was going to call the police and escorted me out. I was like okat i would try another place.
The other hookar bar called 'hoohare' had way more nice servants.

Came here for the beer crawl and then the hookah.  Bartenders started off a little cocky, kind of blank stare like.  The guy collecting money and giving out glasses (i think he may be the owner/manager) was definitely not friendly throughout the entire process and even during and after the raffle.

The hookah girl was nice... but she didnt tend to our hookah as much as she should have.

They stream a non-paid version of Pandora, so hopefully you like listening to commercials.

Its all good though... I would go back.

Always a good time, fast and friendly service.  Great on the weekends if you're looking for a packed house with fun music.

This bar/hookah lounge will extort you for money. The manager will assault you and then extort you for money by telling you he is going to call the cops and your going to jail unless you give him $100. The bouncer is untrained and will injure you while attempting to restrain you, even if you do not resist at all. The manager should be fired for his illegal activities, and they need to hire a competent and trained staff. This deplorable way of treating customers was experienced by a disabled veteran. I hope the owners take swift and decisive action against their incompetent staff. Or they could be facing a serious lawsuit in the near future.

At or around 10:30PM, I was asked to move into the "back" of the bar, (also known as the hallway to the bathrooms). I was Instructed that, "I was to pay $100 to the bar manager, or else I was going to go to jail." I refused, and informed him that I intended to leave. I was told no that I was not aloud to do so. I proceeded to the end of the corridor and attempted to exit using the emergency exit. The emergency exit was locked and did not open after pushing the emergency handle to do so.

At this moment, I was mounted on my back by the manager and put into a "choke hold" by the bar manager. I proceeded to remove the manager's arms from my throat. I informed bar manager to not to touch me, and that I am willing to cooperate. Bar Manager then proceeded to get additional help from the clubs front door bouncer.

At or around 11:00PM the bar manager returns with bouncer and threatens that I will be going to jail, unless I am to give him $100 which would prevent him from calling the cops to avoid going to jail. I inform him I do not have $100 dollars on me and that I intend to just leave. I was immediately attacked by the Bar Manager using a "choke hold" as the bouncer attempts to forcefully put handcuffs on me, he excessively tightened one cuff around my right wrist, resulting in excessive swelling and bruising. I informed my attackers that I was not resisting and to stop choking me. I was forcefully moved to the ground in front of the bathrooms. As I lay on the ground I was continually choked using a "reverse naked choke". I continue to inform my attackers that I am not resisting and to stop choking me. I am instructed to give my additional arm that had been pinned beneath me around to my back. I comply and am released from the "choke hold".

I am then sat down and informed that I am to sit on the ground. I am again told that if I don't have $100 that I am going to go to jail. My colleague is then coursed into the same situation and was informed that we would be going to jail. My colleague reconciled with the bar manger and the bar manager agreed to let both of us go for $100 dollars.
My colleague went to the ATM on site and withdrew $100, he then paid the bar manager.

At or around 11:30 PM I was released from the handcuffs and brought into the washroom. I was informed of the situation that the cops were not going to be called and that my colleague and I were to receive "free" hookah for the rest of the night.

Visited Reno the weekend of Beer Crawl which starts and ends at The Waterfall. Great atmosphere with a good selection of drinks. Employees have great personalities and make it easy to get comfortable. Big lounge in the back to either get a private corner section or sit in the middle and meet new people. I'd definately go back to this spot on the next trip.

I love this bar so much! The staff is super friendly with a dash of attitude but the shit talking can flow both ways. All the bartenders were super friendly and approachable as well a fast and willing to make drinks out of their norm. Doorman is friendly which is unusual but a welcome change in the sea of douchebag bouncers in Reno. Hookah girl is a rockstar and even offered to help me with my photography after we chatted about it. Great place and super mellow!

They have a great selection on tap (24 beers) . The fourth Saturday of each month they have a beer crawl from 2-6. The beer crawl consist of paying $5 for a  6oz souvenir glass. They give you a map with all the places participating and a list of the drink specials (mainly beer but some offer shot/alcohol special as well). You pay $1 for each 6oz taster and can get as many as you want in the four hour time period of the crawl. At the end around 6:15 the Waterfall has a raffle for all participating beer crawlers where you can win a $25 gift certificate to local bars and places.

I'm an infrequent guest to The Waterfall but made an apperance today because my friend and I were in the mood for hookah. Sundays are advertised as half off the normal hookah price of $15. So naturally I assume it's $7.50, only to be informed that the price was in fact $9. I ask the bartender about it and he says, no it's $9. I inform him that is not half off then. He just shrugged it off and said, "Well thats what we charge." I realize it's only a buck fifty but I feel like that is false advertisement. A trick to get you into their ghost town of a bar. I've had some good times there but will definitely not return since they feel they can take advantage of their patrons like that.

I love this place. I love Dollar Pitcher Night on Monday. So kickassed after a day of studying at UNR :D

Scott, the bartender/doorman is awesome. He can mix drinks, light up hookahs, and keep the environment and vibe upbeat by kicking out the retards and little kids who start drama (ones who have fake IDs) like a pro.

At the front door, there is a heater on the top of the doorway to keep the smokers warm during the cold winters. They don't allow smoking inside, but it's warm next to the door, and there is snow all around you!

But like all spots in Reno, it tends to run down a bipolar path of awesomeness and shiftiness. The notoriously fucked up West 2nd Street bar is right next door on the left. On Friday and Saturday nights the lines of skanks and trick assed hoes from West 2nd extends right past The Waterfall. And because of that, the drama extends right over as well. Hoodrats and reject gangsters start a whole lot of trouble right outside the door, and Scott himself wouldn't be able to continue keeping the peace outside when there are so many patrons waiting for service inside.

This was the first actual bar that we went to when I was in Reno for my 21st--it was literally 15 minutes after midnight, and the minute my ID was scanned, the doorman gave me an excited "happy birthday" and told me to let the bartender know.

The drinks were good.  I got a free birthday kamikaze, and then ordered a whiskey sour--I have no complaints.  The bartender was really friendly--he even checked up on me to make sure I was doing okay when he passed me in the hall on my way to the bathroom (I was fine!).

    PS. Huge plus: clean bathrooms!

The only reason that I'm giving this place 4 stars is because there were a lot of incredibly drunk douchey "bros" in there and one in particular seemed well beyond the "cut off" point, but he was still served alcohol, which was annoying.  Also, they have TouchTunes in there--and I'm not sure if this is a universal thing with TouchTunes or just with this location, but we had to submit $5 in credits before we could even look at the song list--so we lost over $4 to that stupid machine, since we were never able to make it back there to use the rest (the place is closed Sundays, lame).

The location is nice and clean.  I've been in there a couple times.  While I think the location is better than some of the other hooka bars I've been too the staff is lacking.  More than once I've had to sit around waiting to be helped And when I was eventually helped it was if I was bothering the person working there.

This was the first stop of the beer crawl in Reno. It was pretty crowded. It has a pretty loungy feel and seems like a cool place to hang out since there was a lot of seating. They also had free hookah when I went.

I came here on a Sunday night with my boyfriend so we could finally use our $20 Groupon. The second we walked in we were carded and had our IDs scanned (same protocol w/ every other person that walked in as well) . I'm guessing they must have a lot of people coming in with fake IDs or something, so it's nice to know they take precautions. The place was completely empty, except for the bartender, but it gave it a very chill ambiance to add to the dark lighting and neon blue lights.

At the time we went, they had a special going on for half off hookahs and $2 Kamikazes. We didn't get a hookah, but the couple that came in after us did and the bartender brought it right out to them at the bar, which I thought was pretty unique.

The drinks are SO cheap and good! I'm not exactly sure what the specific prices were, but we got a rum n coke, Mai Tai, and FOUR Kamikazes for 20 bucks! Where can you get drinks that cheap? I totally thought our $20 Groupon was up after we had our rum n coke, Mai Tai, and 2 Kamikazes, but we were informed there was still $4 left, which is why we ended up ordering 2 more Kamikazes.

We definitely plan on coming back next time we're in town!

Went for monday night happy hour. 1$ pitchers for Natural light beer. They are little pitchers but they do the trick for 1$. The bartenders were really night. I got some pre made kamakzies(sp) for 2 bucks a shot and 4 AMF's (really good size) for 7 bucks each.

Also the hookah was great about 10 bucks for 5 people and they come by about every 10-15 mins and check the coals so it never gets harsh.

I've been to this place a couple of times and I just love it. I usually go on Thursday because they have like 24 beers on tap and they sell $5 pitchers on Thursdays. Best beer deal in reno if you are into beers other than coors light. However, if you are into get drunk cheap and easy beer I believe they have a light beer special on Mondays; $1 pitchers! I've never been on a Monday but I imagine it's a bit crowded. They are also a hookah lounge. The hookah is pretty much stadard market price. They have a rickety pool table and some safety darts... I've never seen it packed but I've never seen it empty (unless I'm there until close... Which happens... Often.)

I like this place, but some a/c would be nice, as it gets very hot and muggy in there, or at least turn on the ceiling fans! But it is one of my downtown faves!

I have been to this bar twice, and am giving it a 1 star rating more-so for one awful bar tender, rather than for the bar itself.  When the Waterfall first opened, my boyfriend and I went in on a Saturday night.  It was a great experience... delicious & creative drinks, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. The second time (last Saturday) I would rate it as one of the worst bars I've ever visited.  It was around midnight and not too crowded - three friends and I walked up to the bar to order the bar's famous Cucumber Martinis.  The male bar tender said "no, we don't have that, it's out of season". I laughed, thinking he was kidding around. He glared at me and said "no, seriously, we don't have that". Oh-Kay... so we ordered Mojitos instead. Nope, can't have that either - they don't carry mint. Seriously?! Then why are these two items featured on their menu?? For an upscale bar, what a joke!  Pissed off by this time, I ordered a Sprite and said "think you can handle that, or is Sprite out of season too".  I'll give the bar a break, and just assume we got a HORRIBLE bar tender that night. I should have looked at his name on our receipt, but unfortunately forgot.  He was a slender, brown-haired, fake-tanned man with an attitude from hell.  Of course, all bars run out of supplies sometimes, but this guy was just being a lazy jerk. There was no reason for his rudeness.  I will go back to the Waterfall again, but if I see him behind the bar, will be walking right back out.

    The Musketeer $7
    1 oz Espresso Vodka
    1/2 oz Godiva Chocolate Liquer
    1/2 oz Irish Cream Liquer
    1 tsp. Chocolate Syrup

Whether you're into billiards and beer pong, lounging on a comfy couch with a cocktail and a hookah, or diverse and affordable drink specials, The Waterfall is the spot.  Bartender Brandon Lenner mixed up a delicious dessert martini for me:  The Musketeer. The espresso and chocolate provide impeccable symmetry while the irish cream adds a just a touch of a nutty tone making it taste like an iced hazelnut mocha.

This place was, hands down, the favorite between my friends and I of all the places we visited while in Reno for a few short days.

The place actually had quite a few people on a Wednesday night, which was a good sign.  We enjoyed a $9 pitcher of Fat Tire, which was nice considering we had paid $5 for a pint at Imperial the same night.  The four of us smoked hookah for an hour for around $9!  It was cash only for the hookah though, so don't forget the cash.  The guy that was in charge of the hookah was really attentive, making sure everything was okay with our hookah frequently.  The lounge area is comfy and you could definitely kill some time in there easily and not realize it.  Drinking beers, smoking hookah, and chatting with friends.  It was a great time.

I enjoyed the playful range of music we heard from Hanson to E-40.  Not sure if these were customers requesting these songs on the jukebox or it was their personal selection.

They also have a pool table and electronic dart board in the back, but we didn't partake.  Maybe next time.

I'll definitely be back here on my next trip to Reno.

Staff here was very nice.  Both the gentleman who took care of all the hookah stuff and the bartender were very kind and talkative.  The guy who took care of the hookah wanted cash only, and we had to pay the bartender and the hookah person separately.  Generally speaking, the place was clean and the prices seemed to be about the same as most other bars.  I Do not smoke hookah that often, but you will definitely find me here the next time I want to smoke hookah.

I'm not a Reno resident, but I find myself spending a lot of time in here when I come to Reno.  This past weekend, my not so little brother and I came here and smoked hookah with my parents for an hour... for $8!  Odd thing to do with my parents, but hey, they had a good time and for that, I will give Waterfall another star.

Not that you should ever drink and drive, but they have this breathalizer test on the wall and for a $1, you can see how high your BAC is.  I don't know how reliable this thing is though, since my brother and our friend (Phuong H.) tried it after the Reno Wine Walk and my brother had a BAC of .09 (believeable), while our friend got .00 (eh?!?!)

Came here for a drink before a concert.  I don't smoke hookah, so I won't comment on that part of it (though it seemed to be a comfortable location for those that do).  The bartender was hilarious, quick, and helpful.  I will go back.

For a Monday night it was fairly crowded , making sitting a little tough. But that actually brought about more closeness and intimacy with friends.
Was a younger crowd, mostly in their early 20's. Music was crowd driven through a jukebox on the wall.
Didn't see any hookah at all but we were just looking for a hangout, which it served well. Monday night $1 Natty Lite pitchers were awesome! Well, for Natty Lite haha.
Overall we really dug the spot. We are going to make it a normal hangout and just start getting there a little earlier.
After it closed at 12 we moved a few doors down to the West 2nd st bar for terrible karaoke. A good option if the 12am closing is too early for you.
