Wet Willie's at Boardwalk at the Beach is my favorite place to go in Myrtle Beach. This was the second time my husband and I went. The first time we stayed at the La Quinta, and walked so we were able to hang out and "enjoy" ourselves a little more.
When you get here it will look empty. Don't be afraid! Just walk right in, seat yourself on the back patio. It' a little hidden gem with TVs, couches to lounge around, and trees for shade. It was fantastic.
Please do yourself a favor and order the bacon cheese fries. They are SOOO GOOOD. I promise you won't be dissapointed.
Although this is a frozen drinks restaurant you can order a Jack and Coke, something my husband appreciated because it wasn't so sweet. You can also order one of their famous "finger shots" which is just how it sounds to add to your frozen drinks.
My favorite drink to order is Call A Cab because it is not too sweet and you can add a shot. You really only need one, but when you're enjoying yourself and your hotel is within walking distance, why stop at 1?
We choose this place because of the .99$ kids meals. The service was great the waitress gave us multiple free tastings for a party of 6. She even let me run to the info kiosk to get extra kids meal coupons. Â The food was better than expected burgers and pulled pork. Kids meal were large and loved by them especially the mini burgers. Also they have kids cups for $1 more that allows you to get free kids sodas for "ever" or $1 slushies. Â Since we come to Broadway at the Beach 3-4 times every year the price is well worth it. Â Great deck out back too.
Review Source:It was pretty obvious our waitress was having a crappy night, and she took it out on us. I knew it was going to be a bad experience when we sat down. She came over to us, and my husband said "hey, how are you?" and she didn't even look at us, just tossed our menus on the table and walked away. Then she just stood there by the bar with her arms crossed. I almost felt like we offended her somehow. We ordered burgers and frozen drinks. The burgers were pretty dry, but the drinks were really good. Their fries are to DIE for, but definitely not good enough to salvage my opinion on the place. I loved the bartender, he was adorable and really upbeat. When our waitress came back to get our order she just said, "What do you want?" in a really annoyed tone, like it was obvious she didn't want to be there or take our order. We almost walked out but decided to stay because we were starving and it was the only place without a line. We should've just walked out.
We definitely won't be going back.
Nice outdoor patio with live music. The drinks are basically pre-made alcoholic slushies. Kinda cool idea, and plenty of yummy flavors. They allow you to taste test and mix different flavors together. Definitely an affordable place, too! Fun atmosphere, but not a place to I of you're looking to do some dancing.
Review Source:This place is.....interesting. Â I probably would have enjoyed the idea of it much more in my crazier college years, but, surprisingly enough, their adult slushies did do the trick! Â If you've never been here before, it's a good place to get a strong drink--and avoid the stupid line at Senor Frogs...
Review Source:OHHHHHHH this is a good place!!! Â We are fans of Wet Willie's and when we return we plan on getting those drinks from here again!! Â Pretty sweet mixes, bartender was super nice and we started off the partying here. Â I introduced some of my friends to this place and now they rave about it just like we do. Â If only VA could change a few of their laws...
Review Source:This was not here last time I was at the beach. Â I have ALWAYS been a wet willies fan!!! I love this place!! We went around happy hour and it was only about 6 people in here. Â The bartender was supercool. Â She suggested all kinds of mixes. Â Patron shots were like $3 or $4. Â I had some awesome mixes...too bad I cant remember what any of them were!!! LOL What does that tell you??? Too many drinks for me!!! Â My fave wet willies is still the one in Charleston!!
TIP-You could walk past it if not paying attention. Â Its next to Senior Frogs and diagonal from the bull ride!!
