Wet Willies

Oh how I wish there is a Wet Willies in NY. The drinks were strong and tasty. Also, there were so many to choose from. I mixed sour apple with call a cab and that was definitely both strong and delicious. I went on a Thursday night and it was Karaoke night. At first, my friend and I were reluctant to sing in public. However, that changed after couple of drinks. The price was fair and bartenders were very friendly.

This place is such a blast! Four of us went out in City Place last night for dinner and to celebrate a 26th birthday. We wanted somewhere fun for a drink before heading home. We tried B.B. King's first, but they wanted a $5 cover and the drinks were overpriced. We went to Blue Martini next, which looked like fun but martinis started at $13. Decided to peek in Wet Willies next, but didn't have the highest expectations. The place looked mostly empty - never a good sign.

We turned the corner of the bar and saw the giant row of slushee machines - game over, we had to stay there!

For the uninitiated, Wet Willies has a row of 15 different alcoholic slushee machines - Pina Colada, Mango, White Russian, Sex on the Beach, Monkey Shine, Sour Apple, Margarita, and so many more. If you're unsure of what to order, each person can try three samples first. The drinks are more reasonably priced than the other places, with small, medium, and larges costing $7, 8, and 9, respectively. But be prepared: some of the drinks are strong!

We had a fantastic bartender, Amanda. Since the place wasn't too busy, she let the birthday girl order "Around the World" - one sample from each of the 15 flavors - for the cost of a large drink. To be considerate to your bartender, don't order when the place is packed. This "drink" takes a few minutes to get together.

Amanda also recommended ordering a "Dirty Laundry," which is a large cup with a mix of all the other flavors.

Overall, the music was good, the drinks were great, the atmosphere was fun. We posted pics on facebook of the place and the order. Now a ton of our friends want to go, too. I'd definitely recommend this place!

Fist open MIC night , lots of good talent! They do this ever Monday now . Drinks are always good there ..now there's more entertainment!
