Purple Lotus Kava Bar

After my first time here are my thoughts...

- Love the Kava and the great feeling you get after the Komoto drink
- Very cool and chill environment
- The drink was very bitter and kind of hard to get down, so not something I would just sit and sip to enjoy. Seems the "point" is for the chill feeling you get after drinking it
- Rather pricey for one drink so one is really all I would probably do
- Great service and really nice people in there

Tried it and it's not really my thing. The effects from the kava lasted for only a brief moment and my girlfriend wasn't too fond of the strong bitter taste. Interesting experience but not something I think I would try again.

Avoid this place at all costs!  A group of 8 of us visited the Purple Lotus while on vacation in WPB.   As another reviewer had stated, the drink tastes like dirty mop water, is absurdly expensive at $25-$30 per drink, and offers no noticeable effects.  The icing on the cake is that it's located in an area where presumably you will be shot for walking through a drug deal that's going down in the parking lot.  Note, my views absolutely represent the views of the group I was with.

As for the management of this fine establishment, I thought it was pretty professional when I blasted the Purple Lotus on TripAdvisor and then received an email from the owner alleging that I was a drug head that needed to get his fix elsewhere.  I assure you that's not the case.  My review was then marked as fraudulent and removed from TripAdvisor. Awesome.
