The bar atmosphere is nice and inviting. Drinks were very good deals at happy hour time from 4-7pm everyday. Half off all drinks by the glass, so you can get a very good glass of wine for a decent price. They do have quite an extensive wine list. Food wasn't anything to rave about as it was just good not great.
Review Source:I just went to City Cellar last night for by best friends birthday. Â I have to say it was a nice atmosphere, and they had an excellent wine selection. Â The food was a little above average. Â I shared a couple of small plates which included the escargot, meatballs, sea scallops, yellow fin tuna, and brie en croute. Â The best small plate I tried was the meatballs. Â I was very disappointed with the scallops as that is usually my go-to seafood item. Â The sauce seemed like a light marinara/salsa mixture. Â I was not a fan of the sauce. Â As for the tuna and escargot, I've had better.
Will I go there again? .... Probably, but mainly for the wine and atmosphere. Â I also maybe think that the entrees are the way to go at City Cellar. Â All of the entrees looked very good on the plates of everyone else. Â I will be back to City Cellar where I will then order one of their entree options!
