Took my brothers here yesterday (and ordered one for my husband) and it was a hit.  I'm originally from Austin TX where we have several Which Wich stores, so I had already experienced the awesome.

This establishment did not disappoint.  The sandwiches were all fresh and made perfectly.  The tea options were also a nice touch!  I will be visiting this sandwich shop each time I make it into Springfield.

This is such a fun twist on sandwiches!  It's fun to order, the place is clean and tidy, and the food is great.  Plus, they sell rice Krispie treats.  Yum!

Another vegetarian who's a fan of both the food and the ordering system. I get the 3-cheese and it's always at least good and sometimes it's perfect. My main complaint/critique/suggestion is that they work on consistency and make sure the sandwiches are made the same way by all employees and every time. There are times when there's just way too much mustard and/or mayo on my sandwich.

The store is always clean and the service is always very good.

Food was tasteless & it took absolutely forever to be served.
    Definitely will not be returning.

Subway, Jimmy John's, Quizno's... Drop all of that garbage and designate Which Wich as your one and only sandwich destination from now on. You may question me now, but later... you won't.

First of all, I love their ordering system because it gives all the power to the customer, and we're a society that likes that. You pick out a paper bag (which isn't exactly sustainable, but I'm not docking points for it), fill it out the way you want, check off all your extra goodies, and they slide it on to the assembly line while you wait patiently. They have bags according to what type of sandwich you want, which ranges from euro to vegetarian to ham. Very neat and very specific. Control freaks can go nuts here.

As for myself, I've been reveling in the bac-hammon lately, which is a bacon and ham sandwich on wheat. My fixin's always include lettuce, tomato, a sprinkle of pepper, and of course, avocado. My beef with other sandwich places is that they either don't carry avocado, skimp on the avocado you ask for, or give you an avocado replacement that tastes sort of like chewing on wet grass. Which Wich cuts up a REAL avocado, keeps it chunky, and just rolls it into the sandwich, and it's utterly perfect every time. I've had friends swear by the Euro and another that loves the Wicked, which looks complicated but delicious. Me, I keep it relatively simple. They also have the best ice in the world. For some people, it matters.

One last thing: when you put your name on your bag, don't bother trying anything silly. Every time I write something like 'Skeeter McTickles,' they don't call my name out loud like everyone else. I didn't say the workers weren't party poopers, but they are efficient.

It'll cost you around $10 for a sandwich and drink, but for the quality you're getting, you really ought to just shut your yap and enjoy your tummy's happiness.

So many possibilities for a delicious veggie sub, it can be overwhelming! When there's hummus, avocado, and black bean patties on the menu, you know you've hit the sandwich jackpot. You choose the fixings using a red sharpie on a brown paper bag, which adds to the Which Wich experience. Toasted to perfection, tons of veggie options, and great atmosphere, too.

Subway, Jimmy John's, and Quizno's better watch out as there's some serious competition in town. Check out Which Wich and find your favorite combo!

Better then Subway, better then Quiznos, better the Mr. Goodsense, Better then Jimmy Johns .......okay maybe not better but equivalent =). Which wich is definitely one of the stops I hit while in my good old college town Springfield. If you don't like your sandwich then, it's only your fault since you designed it (the best part of which wich). I wish there was a wich which in KC.

    LOVEEEEE THIS PLACE!

I lived in Chicago for a year and fell in love with Potbelly Sandwiches, but was sad that by the time I made it back to Springfield, they hadn't made it down here.

    Until I found Which Wich!

A quick warning about the location:  they're off Battlefield, right next to 65. But if you're coming from the west (as most people will be), turn left on Moulder Ave. and go around the back way, or else you'll end up missing the place and turning around in Justice Jeweler's parking lot.

    Back to the sandwiches.

The number of options they give you are staggering.  You order by selecting the paper bag which is labeled with whatever protein you want, and then checking off which toppings and sauces and dressings your empty stomach desires.  There are literally millions of ways you could get your sandwich.  I tried to recreate the Potbelly experience with ham, hot peppers, mustard, horseradish, red onions, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, and oregano.  And it was delicious!  The home made "house chips" were pretty good too. Kettle-fried, it seems, seasoned with salt and perhaps rosemary.

We'll definitely be back here without a doubt.  If only it were more centrally located....
