This place is awesome. Service is prompt and courteous, and the food is fresh and delicious. I was really excited to try it (which may sound odd, but there's a certain amount of intrigue surrounding a food truck. It's mobile. It's mysterious) and it substantially surpassed my expectations. This is excellent, authentic food. I hope it's around for a long time.

This place is amazing! I'm lactose intolerant, so I truly appreciate the recent wave of authentic Mexican cuisine in Springfield. For those who grew up thinking Mexican Villa was the real deal, you might be surprised to know that real Mexican food rarely calls for cheese. It's a miracle!

As for the TWII, it's a dream come true. It's typically parked just a few blocks away from my house on the South side of CVS's parking lot (Glenstone and Sunshine). I've had the tacos, which are amazing, and the burrito, which is stellar. My wife had the quesadilla, and she was equally impressed. The homemade hot sauce is delicious -- not too hot, with just enough spice.

Another nice feature is that they accept credit cards, which is a convenience I wasn't anticipating from a taco truck. ¡Viva el wagon de tacos dos!

The sequel to the Taco Wagon I (on West Sunshine), the Taco Wagon 2: Electric Boogaloo, offers a variety of fresh, high-quality, fast, California-style Mexican food out of a truck in the CVS parking lot at Sunshine and Glenstone.

They offer pork, beef, chicken, shrimp, and surf-n-turf tacos ranging from $1.25-$2.50 a piece.  They come standard (as they should) with diced white onions and cilantro, and a choice of 3 salsas.  You can add sour cream and cheese if you really want to, but that would be a real crime so tread carefully.

Also be on the lookout for homemade tamales, quesadillas, burritos, and an assortment of Mexican sodas.

I got 4 tacos (they're small): 2 pork and 2 beef.  Each came doubled up with two corn tortillas, a healthy pinch of meat, and your desired toppings. (If you add sour cream and cheese, I will hunt you down and kill you.)  They're as good as I've had at any L.A. taco truck, and their location (only a few blocks from my house) is a dream come true.

    Thanks Taco Wagon 2!

P.S.  I'm not sure if this truck stays in place all the time, or it roams around town, but if it moves: they need a Twitter account to keep everyone updated on their location.
