I've driven by this place countless times over the course of my 24+ years. For the first time over the weekend (Saturday...or v. early Sunday to get technical), I took boyfriend and a friend to check it out. We showed up at 1AM on Sunday and the bouncer asked us for $7.00 cover. The place was half empty and we *might* have been able to get two drinks in if we were lucky. There wasn't even a band playing at that point. I looked at the bouncer and said, "No, thanks," spun on my heels and ushered my companions out the door.
Highlight of the experience was two v. drunk girls laughing as they posed on what were clearly someone else's motorcycles as some thug-ish dudes snapped their pictures.
Lowlight of the evening: aside from trying to get jacked for $7 at the door -- the parking lot is seriously tiny and I had a heck of a time pulling into and our of a spot in the mini van I happened to be driving that evening. I wouldn't have been comfortable in my Grand Am, either, though.
We hopped across the street to Sweeney's Saloon and had a grand old time, despite the less than mediocre "hardcore" cover band that was playing in the next room.
