I went here Thanksgiving weekend--I drove to Lafayette, to stay at the Blue Moon Guesthouse. I had five days off and wanted a music / swamp land adventure. I found the Wild Salmon in one of the weekly papers, the band looked good, and the place was also recommended by a guy I ended up talking with at one of the cafes, so I went.
I had a GREAT time. The bartenders and owner were super nice, I chatted with them and some of the regulars for hours. Just good 'ole conversation. Which is what I am always looking for when I travel! The bartenders gave me a beer cozy as a souvenir.
This place is definitely a "locals" place. Off the beaten path. They have food, a great beer selection, and super friendly bartenders who make you feel welcome. I recommend it!
