We found this place after leaving a show in downtown Fayetteville. Â It was a really well-done place. Â The staff was very friendly and helpful. Â They had an impressive wine list and a unique option to try small samples of many wines with a "card" that you can get, and use it in their machine to dispense wine at your leisure. Â It is locally owned and a neat spot to relax with friends. Â The workers really made the place as they were ready with helpful suggestions and a dry sense of humor. Â They had a nice seating and a place for groups or private parties in the back. Â If you are in downtown Fayetteville I recommend trying The Wine Cellar.
Review Source:Here's my dilemma. Â I know the people who operate this establishment. So I shouldn't write a review? The only reason I know Aleks, Evan, and Mia is because I love going there and adore what they offer. The atmosphere is elegant but comfy at the same time. The service is top notch, and the emphasis is with out a doubt, Wine. Don't get me wrong; the food is great, the music nice, Evan's martini's are the best, but hey. it's a wine bar! It's about the wine!
Having the Enotec machine allows the customer to have as much or as little interaction as they are comfortable with. It's also a great conversation starter with your fellow patrons. And just because you're serving yourself doesn't mean that Aleks won't bedazzle and befuddle you with his vast knowledge and ability to communicate his passion for wine and food. The folks who work here are really the glue that holds the place together, and the wines Aleks selects are the honey that attracts flies like me. A "must visit" place, IMHO.
Decent place to get wine every now and then. What makes this place unique is that you can put money on one of their cards, and use that to get either a taste, 1/2 glass, or full glass from some wine bottles they setup in their dispenser.
The people that work here are friendly. There is also an outdoor patio and back, more enclosed room to add some variety from the larger room.
Great stop near the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville to escape the usual college town nightlife scene. The Wine Cellar is calm and relaxing with great music playing at a low enough volume that you can talk to your companions.
Good mix of seating between the bar, patio, small tables and a loungy area with couches and club chairs. This wine bar has an awesome enomatic wine machine where you use a prepaid wine card you buy from the bar in the denomination you choose. Then you can use the card at the machine and try a tasting, half glass or full glass of any of the 24 wines in the machine. Very fun and a great way to try new wines.
Also enjoyed the the Pick Four and Antipasto platter- loved the Brie and Drunken Goat cheeses. Will definitely visit the Wine Cellar again.
