Very consistent - the worst service in West Palm Beach.  I loved it at first, it had great drinks and food selection, but after a brunch with the lousiest service (two hours to get an eggs benny!!!!!!! from an unapologetic and rude server) and subsequent (I gave it the old college try - 5 more times! each with:) miserable service experiences, I will never go back. I had high hopes for the place, it has a great atmosphere and concept, but the servers have an elitist and condescending attitude that makes going there uncomfortable and undesirable.

I'll keep it short, frozen seafood used in seafood paella, medium cooked lamb chops were blood rare, sent chops back only to receive burnt over cooked chops as a final screw you. Bad cooks, bad staff, bad management the evening I was there. Over priced food for product served, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place for dinner.

Why does this place have such a low rating? First of all, everyone who works here looks as if they're a fashion model jumping right off a magazine page. So even if the food was icky, I'd go there just to people watch and drink....not kidding! However, the food was good and the service was on time. Will return to get more familiar with the menu, but the three appetizers we had, didn't disappoint.

Why is service still an issue here? Our server was more interested in telling us the history of his tattoo than anything else. We asked for everything twice. His overall demeanor was like he was too busy trying to be funny to take care of customers or be accommodating. Another star drops this time. Loved the music on Thursday and would maybe come other nights if the service was better! Hello? Is anybody listening?

Brunch gets 5 stars. This was a Nikki beach-style atmosphere on Clematis. People are dancing, great music, server constantly refilling your bottomless mimosa, and the food was great. My husband and I ordered the My benedict, which is a short rib eggs benedict, and also the flatbread with eggs and chorizo. Both were delicious.

We've also been here in the evening. There's a fun dance floor, and the decor is great. You feel more like you're in a trendy NYC bar. The wine is good. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars, is  because I didn't find the dinner plates or the desserts to be as good as the brunch plates. Other than that, I love this place.

I love wine bars, in fact I often joke that I live in them, but this one leaves something to be desired. I love that their not "snooty" but I would make this argument-why am I going to a wine bar if the wine is at best mediocre? I can get mediocre wine at any restaurant bar. I wasn't excited about any of the wine I ordered. One was undrinkable in my opinion.

The music was too loud, the lighting was not quite low enough and the entire establishment was freezing cold! My guess is that the patrons were in the wine fridge - in fact it was so cold perhaps we were in the white wine fridge.

I ordered 3 2oz tastes of different wines and a full glass of wine for my boyfriend. Instead we received 4 2oz tastes. When the bill came we were still charged for a full glass. Our server was nice enough to reimburse us when I told her we didn't receive a full glass, however, she helped run the drinks to the table along with the bartender so I assumed it was her mistake but she seemed to be under the impression that my boyfriend got a full glass.

One of the things I think makes a great restaurant experience is the server. Ours was super nice but did not make herself available to us.  I expressed that I didn't want to order my food before the wine arrived and I can only assume she thought I was being sly - sitting at a table with no intention of ordering food-because she walked by our table numerous times for almost 30 minutes after that before we flagged her down. We had the same problem getting the bill.

Some good points - having the option of 2oz tastes and being able to create your own flight is one of my favorite things and in fact it is the reason I chose The Wine Dive. They also cure their own pork belly which I can respect. I think the pork belly was cured well but perhaps overcooked. Still tasty. This is a new place from what I can gather and my guess is they'll get better and better. I hope so because every city needs a good wine bar!

Wine Dive is a classy space, without feeling stuffy, which is probably why I really liked it. The service staff was friendly, attentive, and quick with requests.

I loved their cheese course! Two cheese items, plus smoked duck breast came to $15. I was surprised by how filling the plate was. It comes with good amount of cheese, as well as fruit, pate, truffle honey (delish!), and mustard accompaniments. Certainly filling for two or three. They definitely had a large selection of wines and I loved that it wasn't impossible to find something reasonably priced in the 10-13 range for many of their wines.

Everyday they run happy hour from 3-7pm and feature flatbread on the menu, $5 for half an order, 4 pieces. I recommend the mediterranean, with goat cheese, red peppers, arugula, and olives. I would have preferred it a little less charred, but it was ok overall.

Outside seats and couch are cozy and a great place for people watching on a nice day.

I'm surprised by the low reviews honestly, but in my experience if you stick to their cheese courses and wine, you won't be disappointed.

The look of this place is so great that we had been wanting to try it for a while now and decided to try something new when we were entertaining my friend and her husband who live in SoCal. I really can't imagine going back. We ordered 3 $14 cocktails since it seemed impossible that they could be bad with that price. My cocktail was $12 and the best of the table. A strawberry patron mojito with fresh mint, simple syrup and club soda. I would call it refreshing and very light on the tequila. The $14 manhattans were a joke. Bright pink, watery and served in a highball glass. The waiter told us that he was going to send the manager over when i mentioned how terrible the presentation and taste were on the manhattans. The manager did eventually come and offer to remake the drinks but i feel as if having them do that would not result in anything better. He actually told us that the "new bartender" made these and that he would have the bartender who had been there for longer make them. South FL! Why don't we hire skilled hospitality staff?? Its so frustrating but i suppose i should have known better than to go to a tourist spot right on clematis.

Went here with some girlfriends and the staff was really nice.  The food is really delicious and the baked brie with the pretzel toasts was so damn good it was melted in this sweet maple type sauce I could not stop eating it!  We mostly had appetizers so I cant give it a 4-5 star rating until I go back but I will be going back!

Prices are average with the area.

I'm going to be completely honest, in saying this. I've read the majority of the reviews about The Wine Dive on Yelp just hours AFTER experiencing this place for the first time. I am shocked to see the number of poor reviews. From the minute I walked in, I was warmly greeted and offered booth seating. Granted, it's Monday evening and there were booths available. The ambiance felt organic, masculine, seductive, lavish and romantic - much like a wine cellar you'd expect to see in a movie. The menu was inventive and the food was nothing short of exquisite- savory, yet tasteful. Presentation was nicely executed. I indulged in a glass of Pinot Noir, Healdsburg Ranch.  As for the food, I can only suggest what I've had and I highly suggest you try the Ahi Tuna Tostadas. OUT OF THIS WORLD. The Black Truffle Mac and Cheese was excellent, if you're a fan of truffle oil infused dishes. I enjoyed my time at The Wine Dive and am eager to return for another great experience.

As a long term downtown WPB restaurant, I really want to like this place.  Great location, great concept, inventive menu.

The biggest gripe I have is the service.  Time and again, you have bartenders with very little knowledge of the (rather overpriced given the lack of expertise) wine list.  You have downright rude and unfriendly waiters who look and behave  like they themselves had a little too much from the bar the night before.   I am not the only one who has noticed this - in fact, I have friends who live downtown who refuse to come back because of the quality of the service.   I find it amazing that in this economy with so many unemployed people, you would not be able to find people who are more enthusiastic about their job.

Wine Dive - you have so much potential, but you need to really kick it up a notch in the service department if you want to make it on Clematis Street.

I went to wine dive for brunch last weekend and that may be the best experience I have had at wine dive.
I ordered the vegetarian eggs benedict and it was tasty if not slightly overdone. I did ask for over hard and i got crispy eggs instead. Too high a cooking temp Ii suppose. I shared meals with a cohort and she ordered the red velvet waffle. It was delicious and the vanilla butter was very tasty.
Ten dollar bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary's available. Do not order coffee. It isn't worth it.
If this brunch was the best i have experienced in my multiple visits to wine dive i suppose you can see why the place got two stars. Brunch was a 3 but every other experience there was a 1 or 2 for the evenings.

Went there for a chill relaxing Birthday celebration with a bunch of friends.  I was more then happy with my experience.  Our waiter was amazing and very knowledgeable of the menu.  The food was good, and the atmosphere was great.  Older crowd then I expected, but still a lot of fun.  Manager brought over some birthday desserts for free.  That was a nice touch. Thanks. Will be back for sure.

Severely overpriced, staff completely ignored my input and produced quite a bland red that was absurdly sweet... My GF loved it but I had asked for something high in tannin and heavy. Not at all what I received. NO super tuscans or borrolo?  Not quite a "wine bar" if they're missing serious cross-sections of a proper cabinet.

110 dollars for 5 glasses of swill, refused to replace the two I extremely disliked.

Not as bad as the fake reviews (you know who you are) would have you believe - the Wine Dive is just OK. For this review, though, we really need to break it down:

Atmosphere: 5 stars! Fantastic space in the first floor of the Comeau building in Clematis. The interior shows the exposed brick and the design is minimalist industrial with a little flare. Both times I was there they had live jazz, which was awesome.

Food and drink: 4 stars! Nice dishes that are beautifully presented. The sliders were a bit gnarly, but the falafel, Mac n cheese, tacos, and oysters are fantasic. Cheese selection looks great and will have to give it a go. Our server virtually orgasmed reminiscing about their previous truffle Mac n cheese, which had lobster. I generally agree with her. Cocktails are cool and the wine selection is decent. Cocktails can be a miss depending on who is at the bar -- my first visit the bartender clearly biffed the strawberry mojito by giving me a glass of mostly tequila (an unconventional mojito).

Service: 2 stars. Pretty consistently sub-par service. Very friendly and eager to show you to a table, and even to get your drink. After that, your server will ignore you. You must work on this, Wine Dive.

Prices: 1.5 stars. Honestly, the prices are just absurd. The wine pours are stingy for the $9 they charge for mediocre wines, the cocktails are $12+ and served in a highball with no panache. The food portions are tiny and, I'm sorry, but if you're going to charge $7 for 3 falafel balls, they had better be aMAZing. Alas, they were not $7, 3-ball amazing. They were just nice balls perched on some hummus lubed with some olive oil and spritzed with some tomato bits.

Overall, I think Wine Dive is still learning. We'll visit again in a few months!

the food was not that good, the wine list is very deceiving the sell wine by 2 oz or the glass I have never see wine by the ounce.
when you look at a wine list you expect the first price to be by the glass and then the bottle; not here.
PAY ATTENTION WHE  YOU LOOK AT THE WINE PRICES

This place will not last long.  Overpriced wine for the selection.  Nothing to special.  The wine list does not have vinetages on the menu, so any good wine drinker knows that a 2005 Jordan Cab is totally different froma 2009 Jordan Cab especially when it comes to price.  So why do a bait and switch with your clients.  Additionally, why are the glasses all the same; no separate white or red glasses.  URGH!  The only good thing about this place is the atmosphere it was built out nice.  However, I will not go to this place again.

I am writing this not to be mean, but to clue in the owner and staff. I work in Morton's Steak House & am a wine enthusiast. Here on vaca from NYC. Where do I begin?!
Wine list horrific.... Where are the Super Tusans, great Borduexs Amerones and cotes de rhones?! Where are the Caymus, CakeBreads, Stags Leaps and such great staples.... Selection was weak, confused and greatly overpriced.
Bartenders were out of a local beer bar, had no knowledge , advice, vision, or personality....when we asked for a few suggestions, he had none...
Reidel glasses???? Why!!!! I love them in my home, but don't need the inflated price on my wine to pay for them... Completely unnecessary & going unnoticed.
Sincerely wishing you the best of luck.
Fire your staff.... Train the new one properly & get a wine list that's worthy of such a great spot!

After reading some negative reviews I decided to post some notable considerations to all the SNOOTS who don't seem to valuable this restaurant in downtown WPB!

My husband & I are avid foodies, we travel often & dine out almost every night. With the array of chains in this area, Wine Dive stands out in the crowd! OK, so the service is slow(for those of you who have traveled outside of the US would know that there is much more to a good restaurant than refills and waiters expecting big tips).

If you appreciate good food & creative cocktails(wine flights avail) along with a cultured crowd who values conversation over sloppiness, WD is a gem on this side of the pond!  In short, check them out,  Loosen up and dance it off with The NERDS playing live on Saturday Nights.

PLUS+ menu is fun, fresh, creative
MINUS- A bit noisy, no bread

    MUST TRY...
    Oysters
    Risotto
    Truffle Mac+C
    Kick Ass Chocolate Martini

My husband and I just had dinner there last night. FABULOUS.
I am a foodie from Palm Beach, and reading a posted review of a yelper describing "cheez whiz" is an insult.  Makes me wonder if it is sour grapes from a competitor on the block.........    In any event, the staff was amazing, the food was fantastic, and one gets the feeling that they are going to go out of their way to please the patron. On weekends, this place is packed, so that in itself tells you it isn't just the wines and metro-cocktails that are bringing in all age groups. The chef even came out to check on our dinner, and he was DELIGHTFUL. Their selections of cheeses are great, and my husband's sea bass was one of the best he had ever had. He wants to go back for the bison.....  Actually, he just wants to go back!

This is a great addition to Clematis, and while they are the new kid on the block, they have their mojo going.
DO NOT believe the one and two star reviews that have been previously posted.
This is a new, great addition to the scene on Clematis Street, and with their wonderful attitude, this place will do great.

Unfortunate bad service & product. Out of the first 2 wines on menu & cheese entree was the equivalent of cheese wiz & Melba toast.

I was really disappointed with the quality of food from The Wine Dive.  The Fondue appetizer was just melted cheese with thin slices of soft bread; and the steak entree tasted very similar to No Name Steaks I make on my George Foreman grill.  The best thing about The Wine Dive was the service, as our waitress was attentive.  I'm not sure if I would return here for food again.
