I have been here many times and on this occasion the food truly stood out. Â My family had 4 different meals, Fish and Chips, Stuffed Sole, Mac and Cheese a the Kids Chicken Fingers.
The (adult) Mac and Cheese was enjoyed by one of the kids. Â It was cheesy without being wet, nicely seasoned, topped with breadcrumbs which were crisp along with bacon.
The Fish and Chips was fresh and not greasy. Â
Stuffed Sole - sufficient amount of crab meat stuffing with a good balance of breadcrumbs.
Kid #2 enjoyed the chicken fingers. Â
I am not sure why this restaurant is rated $$$$. Â Dinners are between $13 and $18, appetizers are $8 to $10 and sandwiches at $8 to $10.
My fiancee and I were passing through the area and figured we would stop in. Located in Enfield off I-91 easy on and off the highway.
We had stopped in on a Friday evening and the parking lot was pretty full. Not a very big parking lot, but some people began to start parking on the side of the road. Once we found a spot we proceeded in. Once we opened the door we were promptly greeted and we noticed that two seats were open at the bar, so we ended up sitting there. There were a few tables open as well, but we always prefer to sit at the bar if we don't plan on spending too much time there.
As soon as we sat down the bartender was quick to greet us and start our drink orders. They seemed to have a pretty decent selection of beers on draft, as well as bottle selections. We received our menus and spent some time reviewing the options. They also had some specials for St Paddys day. The St Paddys selections seemed pretty good, but I ended up asking the bartender for a recommendation. The bartender recommended a corn beef ruben which I ended getting and my fiancee tried one of their St Paddys specials. Our food was out very quick and was excellent. I really enjoyed the corned beef ruben, even though its not something I would typically order.
The atmosphere inside was very nice and open. Long bar and large seating area throughout the establishment. Very nice and helpful staff. We will definitely be stopping back in the next time we are in the area!
Long story short this was my first time at this establishment. I heard good things about their wing so decided to get them. The wings were everything I hoped they would be and you get your money's worth. The drinks were reasonably priced and the atmosphere was good. It's not five star dining but if you're looking for a decent sports bar it's at the top of the list. I would definitely go back.
Review Source:All I have to say is that...I think their boneless wings have crack in them. Seriously, I just couldndt stop eating them.
This was my first time here. I actually came here with a  group from work so I didnt really get to experience the menu or the drinks like I wanted. However from the food I did have, I will most definetely be back. Its your typical Pub/sports bar type of place.
Live fairly close to Yardehouse and am happy to see a full parking lot most times when i drive by. over the years...theres been a succession of failed operations here...glad to see this management succeeding. Yardhouse is basically a beer and cocktails place that dabbles with food. hamburgers and wings etc. Sometimes the kitchen tries to get "creative" as they do yearly with an octoberfest menu. tonight my wife and my son joined me for some german food...with mixed results. I had a cheddar cheese soup as an app. that was creamy and delicious.. Wife and son had the weiner schnitzel(recommended by server bethany). I had the jaeger schnitzel. All agreed the entrees were delicious..flavorful and tender. Sides were way below average...spaetzle and red cabbage were bland at best. But at least the kitchen is trying to serve up some different dishes--we applaud them for that! Inside...Yardhouse is attractive and cozy...nice bar area. Can be noisy but we lucked out and sat at the dining room area on the left as you enter. Much more quiet. Nice place to stop in..have a beer or cocktail and maybe get a bite to eat. the kitchen might surprise you!!
Review Source:On Wednesdays, Yardehouse hosts a trivia night, which I checked out with a group of five recently. As trivia nights go, Yardehouse's was lackluster. It was supposed to last from 7 to 9, but ended shortly after 8 because the host blew through six rounds of questions pretty quickly. The format could use some work, to say the least. (And it's in the restaurant's best interest to keep people in there longer!) It wasn't the most challenging trivia I've played (there was an entire round of multiple choice questions, for example), and only two other teams participated. Our team won a $25 gift certificate, and when we attempted to use it on our bar tab, we were told it "wasn't good" that night. (Which is fine, but tell us in advance!) My whining aside, however, we did have a good time. Yardehouse has a good variety of beer, with a dozen or more on tap. The menu is basic pub food for the most part, but the dishes are generally well-executed. My husband and I split a caprese flatbread with a balsamic drizzle that was pretty good (although it was advertised as featuring fresh mozzarella, which didn't appear to be the case). Our waitress was on top of things, and checked in frequently for refills.
Review Source:Short and sweet. Â I popped in here last night for a few hours during happy hour. Â Our waitress was awesome and kept coming back to clean up and see who needed a refill. Â She was awesome and efficient. Â The one thing I will say is their happy hour beer specials seem limited to Bud, Bud Lite and Coors lite. Â It would be awesome if they put a couple of better brews in that list for their happy hour.
I didn't eat anything (it was really early) but my friends seemed to enjoy their wings and nachos.
We just had an AWESOME experience at the Yardehouse! We showed up on a Saturday night with 3 adults and 3 children (2 needing highchairs). The place was PACKED and the wait was going to be longer than we wanted to wait with 3 crazy kiddos. We were just about to leave when the manager came over to stop us. He told  us he would figure something out if we really wanted to stay. He ended up pulling over a different table and squeezing us in. We were very comfortable. He even came over in the middle of dinner to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and that the kids were comfortable!
My sister is also pregnant (with twins) and was craving their fried pickle appetizer... everyone else thought that sounded gross so she was going to pass. She explained the situation to our server (Nicole) and they ended up doing a small batch of fried pickles for her on the side with her meal!
VERY accommodating and food was great. We'll definitely go back again.
p.s. Order the fried calamari. Sooooo good!!
Literally just a hop away from my home. Â I can always count on them to make a mean Rueben and tonight was no exception. Â My sisters loved their calamari appetizer. Â Fries and coleslaw were good. Â All good times. Â I enjoy coming here to just hang out. Â Definitely way better than what was here before - fancy shmacy places that never really fit in. Â Very casual.
There are some foods I would not recommend - their wings are not great. Â And it does look like it can be hard to find parking on some evenings. Â But again, better than what was here before - it just looked empty and sad. Â Now it looks lively and bustling. Â If you want a casual place to hang out, have some beers, bump into some locals you might know, this is it.
Certainly a place to round up your brew crew and pound back a few cold ones. Â
Young crowd on the weekends. Â Great selection of draft beers. Â I had a Smithwicks and Longtrail. Â There is live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Â The bar area gets really busy but there is plenty of room in the dining section and the waitstaff are great about having tables that sit and have a few beers and socialize. Â A lot of places frown upon a table that isn't ordering food so in my opinion this was a plus. Â The service was great, our waitress was friendly and we didn't wait long for a drink refill. Â
The parking lot is what it is. Â A busy place like this is going to fill up. Â There are other lots around here and I might be speaking for myself but after a few beers a small walk to the car isn't really so bad. Â Burn off half a sip of that brew!
I was here on a Saturday night to see a band play. Parking was an issue - many cars were parked on the street and in a field next door to the parking lot. The dining rooms and bar area looked clean enough. The bathrooms were a bit dirty.
The biggest issue I had was that I witnessed a waitress walk out of a bathroom stall and straight out the door of the restroom without washing her hands. She went right to a table with guests at it and started clearing plates. I was sure to say something to the manager after seeing that. Disgusting and unacceptable. I will not be back.
Stopped in here after staying at a nearby hotel before flying out of Bradley in the morning. Â Cute and friendly place with good, attentive service and reasonable prices. Â Sportsbar- esqe and a decent way to grab a quick bite in a decent venue. Â Just had a couple drinks and the spinach- artichoke dip, which was good . Â Wide variety of choices on the menu. Â Worth a trip
Review Source:What is it about Enfield bars/restaurants and the need for at least 10 TVs in every viewing direction?
Are the people around here so boring conversation is out of the question? Christ, I can understand if its a big game or whatever, but having COPS on at dinner time is pretty weak.
The food and beer selection was mediocre at best. The service and clientele were similar to the fake wallpaper bricks
The Yardehouse is not terrible. Â I like their martinis, particularly the espresso martini. Â I like the setup of the tv's - it's a good place to grab food and beer and watch football or baseball. Â I don't really expect more than good bar food there, so if you have higher expectations, I do not recommend this place.
I would not recommend much of their food selection. Â The meatloaf was not very good. Â The potatoes are okay. Â I like the fries, but they're average.
I've never been there during a live event. Â I can't imagine that the Yardehouse can fit many people at all, and we see the place the flat-out packed on some Thursdays and weekends.
This place wasn't bad. Â It's probably too far out of the way for me to go again any time soon (it was an unexpected stop the first time), but it wasn't too bad. Â
Prices were reasonable, parking wasn't bad, and it wasn't overly crowded. Â As for the crowd itself, a little more rustic than you'll see in Hatford, but there were some cute girls there.
The brick wallpaper on the way in is ridiculous...parts of the bar look pretty nice, but then that loosely hung wrapping paper brick facade? Â I hope it was for some event or something..
