Came here with my boyfriend the other night after reading the great reviews on here. We were a little skeptical at first as we got there late for dinner and so only the karaoke bar area was open. Most of the crowd was older too so I was a little worried he was going to strangle me later for bringing him there. The food was everything it is claimed to be on here and the staff and service was excellent. After about 20 mins we felt right at home and had a great evening. We even ordered desert which we never do! Would recommend and will dine there again. Also the singers were pretty good. That was my first time in a karaoke bar ever btw.

The best steak I have ever eaten, even though it is top sirloin.  My husband, myself and a group of friends sometimes go there on a Wed. or Sun. evening for their special.  The steak literally melts on your toungue and the flavor is out of this world.  Love this place, cute setting and staff are super people!!!

This place has been up for a zillion years but I just recently had dinner there. Seating was quick. Service was courteous and friendly. Seemed like we walked into the middle of American Idol  tryouts. The chef sang, the bartender sang, the waitress sang, the janitor sang. But they all did really great. I couldn't vote ANYBODY off stage. Oh, by the way. dinner was splendid. I tipped 'em $500.00 and gave 'em one of my old BMWs...no I didn't..... but I would have..

Some of the best food in  the IE!  Steaks are amazing, seared ahi is sooo delicious and service is great!  It's a little loud but well worth it.

Excellent, home-cooked food, professionally-prepared cocktails, great ambiance and very friendly people. My wife's friends go here at least twice a week and they love it (we are from Oregon). During visits, my wife would go with them and raved about how great it is. I finally made it down here to check it out for myself and they were right!

On my first visit, I ordered the top sirloin. Typically, I expect a top sirloin to be a bit tough, as that is just the way that cut of meat is. Not here! I ordered it "medium" and it was perfect. Very tender and excellent taste.

Aside from all the great food and drinks, the owners and employees are like a little family, who welcome you as family when you arrive. They are very attentive and you can hang out with them like you've known them for many years. My wife and I had a nice chat with Holland, the owner, on our way out last night, and he told us about how he doesn't get the traditional cut of sirloin for his steaks -- he gets only the good part of that cut and that's why it's so tender and yummy.

Great people, great food and great drinks. Who could ask for more? Oh yeah, there's also karaoke.  :-)

Its definitely a mature crowd (both age and mannerisms), a plus if your middle aged like me :)   We came in, not knowing what we were about to walk into, and when came inside, we were definitely pleased, we just want to go to a bar/lounge (this one serves food too!! another plus) where you don't have that feeling that you have to compete w/the younger crowd, just a group of the local regulars, all mature, older (seen some late 30ish looking & up), so that was such a welcome for us..no one stared us down either, just continued to do their thing, and waitress greeted us as we made our way to sit down, that was something I haven't seen in years (I don't think ever, ???) another plus plus!! :)    Yes the lounge/bar has that old look of the past, I like!! Its cute, cozy, kinda a bit rustic feeling to it, & the lights make it romantic, but also cool for small groups hanging out...We didn't get a chance to check out the Karoake, would like to do that the next time, the only bummer for us is that they don't have beer on tap...all bottles :(      Oh well aside from that, they had decent slection of beers and what looked like a decent menu (salads looked fresh & inviting) yes definitely making it a spot for us to hang out once in while, catch a game on and enjoy the ambience (reminds me of Sir Georges, can't explain it...).. :)

So went here last night for a late night  dinner and drink with my BF, very curious about this place for years but thought it was more a "local crowed" and maybe outsiders will not be welcomed, well I was wrong the staff was inviting from the minute i walked in!! As a bonus it was KARAOKE night are you kidding?? hahah Ordered 2 extra dirty martini's on the spot and was advised by our lovely hostess Sharon that we made it just in time for dinner FFeewww. Was advised of specials and favorites very friendly staff could not say that enough, the crowed was older like 50+ but I didn't mind they party like 20 year olds song after song they all were getting up there no shame like they were all family it was nice to see, our order came me- seared Ahi steak my Bf-sea food combo is what I think it was called ... food came in big portions and great presentation they gave my bf his own little sour cream/chive and butter station for his baked potato which he loved, All in all the food was good not fantastic but the atmosphere made it off the chart and I WILL BE BACK, I swore i saw a discount if I mentioned I saw them in inland empire magazine but too bad won't stop me from coming...Oh P.S the drinks were fantastic !! Reasonable price and great atmosphere will keep me coming here again and again!! I wish I would have paid attention to the prices but just idea 2 meals 4 drinks (I know long day) came up to $54.97!!

This place turned out to be way better than I thought based on the pictures on here.  The service was fantastic and fun and I loved the vintage style bathroom with the green and white marble sink and swag lamps.  Dinner was good and at a great price.  Atmosphere was cozy and romantic!

So me and my gf decide to give it a try I liked the uniqueness to it based on the exterior. I ordered the seafood platter which was avg I liked the onion rings and the ranch dressing with the salads was very watery...The pastrami was pretty good but average at best...with the au jus very tasty..nice staff but not quite what I expected, maybe better for drinking than dining, wish I would have tried the diner cafe next door!

    One word: BARTENDER. =)

First you must know that this is more of a pub than elegant (pretentious)fine dining, and that is not a bad thing, as it's an excellent American pub in the British sense, with many people who've adopted the place as their local haunt on a regular basis for food and drinks, mostly drinks.  The food is always well prepared and a cut above what you might expect for a pub with ancient decor and dim lighting, but don't let appearances stop you from trying the place.  The menu is a rotating selection of whatever the chef has on offer, so while the selection is very limited, the items are always tasty and a good value.  The sirloin steak special is a great value on Wednesdays and Sundays.  The servers are friendly, efficient, and the place is family owned and operated.  Karaoke and live music are done after 8pm on many nights.

I decided to give this place a try for dinner after reading the reviews. I took two of my sons with me. One is 12 and the other is 11. We sat down and the waitress greeted us. She was very nice. She took our drink orders and we checked out the menu. They have appetizers like mozzarella sticks, fried jumbo shrimp and shrimp cocktail. The place is dimly lit and the tables have a lit candle on them. My 12 year old son had the Teriyaki Steak dinner. It is a Choice 1/2 pound top sirloin steak and it is very, very tasty!! My son loved it. My 11 year old had the Manicotti in Meat Sauce and garlic bread. It also was very tasty! I had the Petite Filet Mignon. It is a 5oz filet wrapped in bacon, and it was very good. All our dinners came with vegetables. I think they were sauteed in a little oil and butter, anyways, they were very good. I had a baked potato and my son had the fries. They also came with choice of soup or salad. The dinners we had were good portions and delicious. I will definitely be back.

The drinks aren't expensive and the atmosphere is good. The staff is very friendly and they also participate during karaoke.

I have been a guest of the Lamp and an occasional Karaoke Hostess for several years now. The food and atmosphere are Fantastic!! Holland and Sharon have created a bar that has a good, down home, family feeling.  The drinks are priced fairly and liberally poured!! The Bartenders and Servers are friendly and my daughter and I fight for hugs when we come in!

Having worked as a KJ for almost 10 years now, I love the system at the Lamp, they have a huge list of updated songs and although you may have to wait a bit to sing some nights, it is definitely worth it, as the crowd is affectionately known in the business as a "karaoke crowd". You hear lots of hoots and hollers, clapping and cheering and the dance floor is known to get crowded with Solid Gold Dancers!!

Couldn't ask for a better local bar/lounge. I have officially changed this to "my bar" and am happy to be considered a regular. There is little to no drama here. On the rare occasion there is, it is dealt with swiftly and quietly. Everyone is extremely friendly and welcoming.
I remember the first time I came there, made friends with the bartender. Within the next few times I was friends w/the waitresses, and shortly there after, the owners. It's a big family here, and everyone watches out for everyone. We are always willing to add new members to the Lamp family! :o)  Kids are even welcome earlier in the day and on Sunday's as it's more of a lounge then.
Drinks are strong, but cheap. Food is great, especially the steak. Karaoke equipment is pretty modern, and they have a lot of current songs. And they are always fair w/the line up.
I can't say enough great things about this place, its friendly staff, amazing food, great karaoke and amazing atmosphere.

I live right by this place, and it's pretty cool.  The crowd's in their 40's and up, the drinks are poured at a great price ($3 for a beer.  Happy hour has $2.50 beer and well drinks)

I had a great time there during this last Super Bowl.  They had free chili dogs, and $5 steak dinner.  It looked like a big sirloin.  The place is well worth your time, and is on the way right before you go up the hill to Big Bear.

Great dinner & karaoke spot. Their dinner specials are almost always awesome. Unlike so many other kraoke groups, the folks here actually encourage "outsiders" to join in.
Steaks are good to very good. Vegetables and other sides are fresh and tasty.
We were there the night Neil Derry was apparently "somewhat impaired" & folks from the safety benefit association were telling him he should run for County Supervisor.
Food & service are quite good- a romantic locale too.
