Having moved back from Philadelphia a few years ago, I was pretty sad at the lack of sushi places on the island. Â Little did I know Yuki to the rescue!
The rolls are a little pricey but what sushi isn't? Most of the rolls I've had I've loved. I have noticed a bit of variation in their spicy salmon skin roll, the first time I got it, it was GREAT, but this last time, it wasn't the same at all, so there's a little variation in some of the rolls but I guess that's to be expected.
Their other Chinese meals are good, they aren't amazing, kinda your typical "Americanized" Chinese but it does the trick! Overall I'm always happy when I order from Yuki!
Food here is awesome ! Always fresh. The borgata roll is my all time favorite sushi and is made perfect every time. I've had the beef negrini, amazing. The sweet and sour chicken, awesome, the gyoza wasn't the best I've had but still wasn't bad for being local. Over all it's an amazing sushi place!
Review Source:If I could give 0 stars I would, place is absolutely disgusting, the cook was swatting flys with a fly swatter in the kitchen while scratching his back with it! And then laying it on the cutting board! Let alone the amount of nats flying all over the restaurant. And I will leave it at this.... I ordered sushi to go and not one but TWO bugs in my sushi! Disgusting do not waste time or money
Review Source:Great food here and great service! I love this place usually visit it a few times for a little change up from my normal places I visit to eat sushi-noodles. The staff is very friendly, the place is very clean and relaxing.. always seem's to be easy to get a table especially during the winter. I have done take out which was also very good. If your visiting any of the local casino's and wanna take a little spin out of the city to have a relaxing dinner this is the place to go!
Review Source:Amazing sushi! Â So, if you want good food, come here. Â It is not about the ambiance - it's just a normal place. Â We were staying at the Borgata and wanted good food - but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg. Â I cannot even begin to describe how awesome the food was and am extremely grateful for the yelp reviews. Â We sat right at the sushi bar. Â Oh yes, I forgot to mention.. BYOB. Â By far, the most amazing option was the spicy girl roll. The fish was soo fresh. The sashimi was outstanding. Â The place was not crowded at all - and we got a table immediately. Â I would want to come back to Atlantic City just to visit this restaurant. Â For 3 people, TONS of food, including 1 chinese dish, 3 appetizers, and probably 8 specialty rolls or so.. we paid only $100?!
Review Source:When I walked in I almost walked back out. The place looks a little run down and slightly dated. There were the workers children (future Sushi chefs) playing behind the counter. Staff was very nice, just not very organized- they forgot everything right down to the napkins. Now for the food, it was actually very good. Not the best sushi that I ever had, but for strip mall sushi its worth the visit. Oh and BYOB.
Review Source:How ecstatic am I that there is sushi this fantastic so close to my condo?!
FRIGGIN' THRILLED. My rating Yuki Hana at 5 stars may seem a little capricious, but...nah! They totally deserve it.
Mine and boyfriend's first sit-down dinner after relocating to Brigantine, I was probably a little more excited than he at the prospect of delighting in raw fish.
Yuki Hana's interior is lovely without being stuffy or pretentious. We sat ourselves in a booth, but I'd love to sit at the sushi bar sometime. There was a back dining room that looked cozy and was more private. Boyfriend, of course, stuck to the Chinese menu. I ventured into the world of Japanese and did not look back.
He ordered hot and sour soup, sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice, and an eggroll. I tried a Crystal Roll (spicy blue crab and avocado inside topped with spicy crunch tuna and spicy tobiko) and an order of salmon sashimi. We also ordered steamed dumplings as an appetizer.
Boyfriend's hot and sour soup was the best we've tried. New Melaka's in AC is a close second, but this soup just had so much unexpected flavor. The "hot" and "sour" were very present and both profiles were very identifiable. Even the mushrooms had an exquisite, meaty texture and flavor. the steamed dumplings were yummy and filling, maybe a little too filling as I left a decent amount of dough on the plate. Hot and delicious, nonetheless.
Our entrees arrive and are both beautifully presented. My sashimi, though averagely priced, was 3 thick slices of buttery, delicately flavored salmon. Most sushi joints provide two pieces per order, so this definitely tipped the scales in Yuki's favor. The Crystal Roll was huge, delicious, and fresh. I have vacillated between whether or not I think it was a little too pricey at $12.95. But considering the size, the freshness, and the use of blue crab, I think that was a fair price. I would not hesitate to order it again next time, save for the fact that I'll most likely be eager to try everything else on their menu.
I can't speak to boyfriend's sweet and sour chicken, though I'm sure you can all guess...he thought it was excellent. I will say that his fried rice looked moist and flavorful.
Yuki Hana is also the only place in South Jersey (I've seen) that offers Toro. Huge thumbs up.
So they're BYOB, offer free delivery with a super-low ($10) minimum, AND the food was spectacular? I will be here way more than is reasonably necessary.
Went out with my brother and he had to show me his fav sushi spot in NJ knowing I live in HI and my standards are pretty high. Â It did not disappoint! Â We got the right as they opened and service was fast and friendly. Â Everything was clean and fresh. Â Ordered my typical miso and then tried the borgata roll. Â So yummy but very filling. Â Its def on par with some places in HI, tasty indeed. Â I would go back when I visited the brother again. Â Was a bit pricey for sushi but worth it.
Review Source:Looking for something different on the island, we popped over to Yuki Hana for dinner last night. Â I was craving sushi...so we went Japanese and not Chinese. Â We ordered some vegetable tempura and a few simple rolls. Â
The tempura came out hot and fast, maybe too hot. Â I have had vegetable tempura at other places and found they had a good mix of veggies. Â Not so much here. Â We got eggplant, sweet potato, one piece of broccoli, and taro root. Â The taro root ended up tasting like paste, which as you can imagine, was not very good.
The rolls were ok, though they stayed with me through the night and I wasn't loving that. Â The service was fast and good. Â While it isn't the restaurant's fault, there was a noisy family next to us which was distracting and annoying.
What did bother me the most was that there were fruit flies around our table. Â I know in a restaurant they are probably common, but they gross me out. Â Where there are fruit flies, there is rotting food. Â Yuck.
Quality sushi....nice and fresh with delicious "special" rolls. Â All rolls we ordered were between $10 and $13 each, so it's not cheap but worth it if you're a sushi fan.
Appetizer: Â rice wrappers filled with shrimp, cucumber, lettuce and topped with a creamy mango sauce. Â Very light, nice dish. Â Well balanced....about $7 for 6 pieces. Â Nice.
Also saw a lot of people eating Chinese food which all looked good. Â I only came for the sushi and would happily return.
Can't begin to imagine why they have received less that stellar reports.  I suspect that they have been trying to play it too safe and just going for simple dishes.  My wife and I have been on island for years now.  We have no problem (and in fact a good deal of pride in) taking our NYC friends here.  We love their sushi and strongly suggest that you put yourself in Eric's hands and let him create a meal for you.  Our NYC minion always go for the Chinese  food as well.  Unlike most strip mall fare, each dish is decidedly different.  Fresh ingredients and friendly service is all we have ever encountered.
Review Source:Fresh quality sushi, excellent Chinese and unique rolls. Â Have fantastic specials like tile fish, dumplings, chinese pizza, tartare, oysters and tempura. Dined here 15 times and received delivery 4 times. Â Delivery is the fastest on the island, no kidding! Â Prices are reasonable, and they remember our 6 yr sushi eater every time we visit. Â Chinese fare is excellent too. Â Family atmosphere! Â BYOB
Review Source:I just moved to Brigantine for the summer after weekending here for two years. Â I was pleasantly surprised by this place, being that this is a small town. Â The Chinese, although American-styled, is really tasty with quality ingredients and yummy sauces. Â The sushi is fresh and of good quality. Â They also have some very unique rolls, both on their menu and on their website. Â I have only ever taken out and had delivery, but service has been prompt, they have free delivery, and they provide a free beverage (can of soda or bottled water).
Review Source:Pretty typical chinese/japanese restaurant.
My friends & I have been here a few times & their dishes are pretty good. I really enjoy their spider rolls & the beef chow fun is yummy, albeit somewhat overly greasy.
They're the only restaurant outside of Chinatown that I've been able to order beef chow fun from so that's an up.
We order take out from here more than we eat in and they're pretty timely with everything. I don't recollect much in terms of service for when I've eaten in there but I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with the wait staff.
