Yummy Yummy

Yummy Yummy is neighborhood Chinese cuisine in all its glory.

It's in a building that used to be a Friendly's restaurant decades ago but which has since been converted into two storefronts.

A ton of Chinese restaurants under different management have called the building home over the ensuing years.

Yummy Yummy is the most recent iteration.

It's in the hood, so it's grimy, and the food isn't gourmet, but compared to a lot of the other similar options around Springfield it's one of your best bets, especially in the Forest Park neighborhood.

They make the food fast, hot  and greasy, and they're always accurate.  And if you order a lot of food they often give you bonus food and will even switch the bonus pork fried rice for a non-swine option if need be.

My only real "beef" is that they often neglect to put fortune cookies in your bag so you have to specifically ASK for them a lot of the time.

Staples such as chicken fingers, fried rice and General Tso's chicken are recommended dishes, and I find an order of chicken fingers and an order of french fries especially pleasing when the mood strikes me.
