I am basing this rating solely on the service I received at my most recent visit. Our food was delicious.
A friend and I decided to come to 333 for dinner to celebrate my wedding anniversary since my husband was away for work (military). Upon our arrival, we ran into some friends who were also celebrating a birthday, so we decided to combine our reservations and eat together for a total party of 8. We had two extra people show up, one ate, one just had drinks so they moved us to a larger table, which was very nice and I appreciate the staff for being so accommodating. This is where our service became almost non-existent. Maybe our server had too many tables or decided not to pay attention to us because we were a younger group and wouldn't be his "pay off" table. Which was a completely wrong assumption because many of us worked in the restaurant industry and were prepared to tip on service. For the original party, it took almost an hour to receive our food, which almost all of us ordered the Sunday prime rib special. A few late arrivals ordered drinks which took more than 20 minutes to arrive, which is ridiculous. The worst part was the checkout process. Our waiter of course hadn't stopped by the table to ask how we would be taking our checks so brought us one check. Then we had to wait for him to return to separate the checks. Each of us wrote down the items to be included on each separate check so there were no mistakes and to make it easier on the waiter. Once the waiter finally returned, there were still mistakes on some checks and some items that were never even ordered by our table. Our check out process took over 30 minutes. I would be questionable to return here with a large group. For the food, once it was served, the prime rib was very tender and tasty and our desserts were delicious. We all enjoyed our meals. But the service...I was disappointed.
I've been twice to this restaurant so far-once for dinner and another time for lunch. I think it says that you have to dress up here, but that's not true. I wore a dress the last time I went in April and felt overdressed. It appears that a lot of people from the beach just stop by to eat here in their short and flip flops.
For how much they charge per entree, I assumed that the food here would be realllly good. It's really not. For dinner, the plates are overpriced for what they serve. And the portions are small. Nothing great. The best part of the meal is the bread. They don't provide you a basket but give you one warm roll of bread with maple/ brown sugar butter. The butter is delicious! If you want more bread, you have to ask the waiter and then it takes forever! I can barely remember what I had for dinner. All I remember is the feeling of wasted money after seeing the bill.
I went again for lunch recently in July hoping it would be better. It was a bad idea. The plate was dirty. We left it on the side of our table so we can ask the waitress for a clean plate, but she just put bread on it so we never got a chance to tell her there was dried food stuck to the plate. My water glass was dirty too with clear lip stick stains on the rim. Bright red lipstick stains...I don't see how they missed that. The food was bland. Not much flavor. I got a crab sandwich. It really didn't taste like anything. No seasonings. But at least it wasn't fishy. My fiance got the curry chicken salad and same complaint. No real flavor. He also found a hair in his salad.
This place really isn't worth it. The prices are too high and the food is bland. My dishes were dirty and the waitress was a bit stand off-ish.
My wife and I decided to give Pacific 333 a try and I have to say it was pretty good. The atmosphere was great and service was friendly. The food is really good and they have a huge vodka selection at the bar. I think the food and drinks are a little on the pricey side, but you do get your moneys worth. I'm sure we will go back.
Review Source:The sushi was amazing, the $7 vodka drinks were fantastic and tasted EXACTLY as what they were named for... (our favorites were the key lime and the sour kiss) and the and perhaps the most important part was the incredible service. We are visiting from New England (for work) and have tried a number of restraunts and bars during our stay. We liked many and loved few. WE LOVE 333 Pacific! Jason was phenominally attentive, quick and skilled with our drinks, and helped us select menu items that were perfect for us - since we haven't been before.
Review Source:The hubby and I drove up to Oceanside on a whim on 5/30. Â We had both never been there before. The pier was beautiful. It was a perfect San Diego day. We spotted 333 Pacific and decided to try it out. They were just opening up for happy hour so we sat at the bar.
There was an incredible selection of $7 martinis and we definitely tried a few. The key lime martini was unlike anything I had ever had. Â It was incredible. Strong but still tasted like pie with a meringue-like foam topping. The cantaloupe martini was great too. We also had a few happy hour apps. The albacore deviled eggs were awesome. The Cali roll was just okay.
This restaurant has an enormous vodka collection, reading like a wine menu.
Our bartender Frank, was great. Really talkative and friendly. He was right on top of his game too as the only bartender for awhile. Shaking up martinis for the servers and bar patrons with no sweat. Even the barback was great. He was telling me how the key lime foam is made. He really knew his stuff too.
We will be back.
I've never been to Oceanside for dinner but 333 is worth it. We had a party of 6 out to celebrate a B-day. When called to make the reservation I explained to the person it was a special occasion. She said she would do her best to secure a table on the patio. When we arrived the place was full and Very noisy (due to large the bar area) but our table on the patio was ready.
The food was excellent. I ordered the beef short ribs which were flavorful and melt in your mouth good. The prosciutto wrapped scallions were fresh and and cooked perfectly. From seating to the last crumb of dessert the service was attentive. Our server Patricia was always on hand with suggestions and made sure every need was met..
Great atmosphere and cocktails! Amazing selection of vodkas from all around the world - all at $7!!! - no matter if it is a mixed drink, martini or shot! Great value! Very creative, delicious, fresh fruit martinis!
There are different, fun happy hour specials every day! Great to grab some appetizers and martinis as a group, but also intimate enough in one of the booths/tables for more intimate dinner. Food is delicious! Ocean view outside seating!
Excellent location and parking, immediately across the street from the Oceanside pier and a large public pay lot immediately adjacent. Â Right across the street from the beach, located on the ground floor of some sort of hotel/timeshare place. Â The restaurant is part of the CRG (Cohn family) empire, so one would still expect a high quality experience despite its inclusion in a cheesy hotel facility.
Upon entering the expansive open bar, one is struck with a deafening din of loudmouth fools that was so loud it bordered upon painful. Â I was ready to turn and leave until I was escorted to my patio table that was behind a set of doors blocking the noise. Â What a pleasant contrast. Â It was so quiet and peaceful, yet full of considerate and genteel diners enjoying polite conversation. Â Our table faced the ocean and pier through a large picture window that was open to let the sea breeze through, thus we had the view and the breeze, all without the imposition of those walking along the sidewalk upon an intimate meal. Â Wonderful.
Service was very prompt and attentive, if not a tad sterile. Â The food was excellent. Â I had the Kobe meatloaf. Â It was lean, not greasy but yet not dry and mealy. Â The sunset during dinner on a beautifully clear summer equinox evening was a setting that was truly romantic, Â even if my dining partner, as usual, was not. Â Like the Dos Equis guy should say: "Stay single, my friend".
I think its about time I review the only nice restaurant in Oside, and Cohn is lucking out cuz Im fresh off of a truly lovely Friday night dinner. Â Great service (thanks Pierre), inviting vibe, and outstanding food. Â Had the crab cake special and the mac and cheese, both were flavorful and delicious. Â Had a glass of bubbly and concocted our own vodka drinks, also had the skinny one with the elderflower liqueur, quite good.
This was definitely the best visit I've ever had foodwise, I would say I've eaten there about 5 times in the past year. Â I think I finally ordered the right item.
Every time I go to the bar for happy hour, I think "why don't I do this more often?"; It feels classy without being stuffy. Â Thanks 333!
I am in love with their Vodka lounge which includes their extremely large selection of Vodka's which they make into amazing vodkatini's. My favorite is their Sour Kiss which was recommended to me by a waitress but isn't on the menu. I order it every time! It has fantastic whip on top of the drink and has a little spice to it. Super great place to go for girls night!
Review Source:I'm surprised that this restaurant has 4 stars! The service is horrible and the food is tasteless. My mom ordered stake and it was the worst stake ever. It seemed like they boiled the meet and then fried it. It was super dry and had no flavor. I ordered lamb and it was tasteless too. We were so disappointed!
Review Source:When we arrived at our reservation time, Â they had our table waiting for us. Â The table we selected. Â The service, from start to finish, was great. Â Relaxed, yet, Johnny on the spot, with whatever we asked for. Â Great place to eat!!! Â
We had an ahi appetizer and I had  a steak meal.  Both were made to perfection.
This rating is for the happy hour only. Went here for the venom Wednesday, where they have $5 martinis. Luckily we got there early enough to find a seat at the bar, but 30 mins in the place was packed. We ordered a couple of appetizers priced at $7. over all a great place to hang out. Fun, good drink specials and fairly priced appetizers. Service was decent. As the bar became more busy, the service got slow.
Only disappointment i had was the lack of view of the waters from the bar. But that wont stop me from coming back. :)
Horrible service, mediocre food. I eat out a lot with my husband and family. So far this is one of the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Service was slow and my son's steak came out burnt after 40 minutes and the server gave us an attitude when I decided to have something else. I didn't feel bad leaving with zero tip. Never going back.
Review Source:My boyfriend and I went to Pacific 333 on a Thursday evening. We were seated next to the window to see the ocean view and pier. The setting was very nice and intimate. The service was ok but seriously not up to par. I ordered the steak trio and my boyfriend ordered the filet mignon. The topping on my steak trio was over powering and took over the flavor of the steak. Also each steak was sitting on a large cup on mash potato. I do not recommend trying this plate. And i think it was overpriced. I would rather take the money and order at Rush Chris. My boyfriends filet mignon was a little bit more on the rare side when he ordered a medium well steak. He also agrees the food was over priced. We might come back but only for drinks.
Review Source:First time going this week. We had a great time even though we did not have a reservation. We got lucky we made it in time for "Happy Hour". Drinks were $7 along with some appetizers. Â
I had some oysters and they were fresh and tasty!! Â Note; Oysters not on happy hour menu.
I also had a really great drink called Coconut Macaroon...super tasty, super good.
WOW! This place was amazing.
1. Awesome view of the pacific.
2. Â Wide variety of specialty cocktails
3. Fresh and tasty seafood
4. Knowledgeable and attentive waitstaff.
Will come back again!
So, glad to have found a good restaurant near our home :)
333 Pacific is our "go to" for many reasons.
They have great happy hour prices! The staff is very knowledgeable on their wide range of vodkas (did I say' it's a vodka lounge?) Michelle and Maggie are our favorite cocktail servers. Always welcoming and on their game. If you can't decide from the martini menu, ask them for a suggestion. I personally love the key lime pie martini. The food is amazing with beautiful presentation.
Whether it's date night for just the two of us or we're suggesting a place that will impress our pickiest of friends, 333 Pacific is it.
I was taken here for my birthday. They were kind enough to switch the day as I had a long day at work on my birthday so good on them for that.
The staff was nice, especially the redhead in the ocean view section. She was quite the beautiful woman might I add.
The food is mediocre, especially for the price. I cook as a hobby and definitely have a lot more flavor to my food. The mashed potatoes were good though.
I asked for a glass of water to drink and the glass was dirty!! Doubtful I will ever come back another time for mediocre food at such a high price. But they did give a free ice cream for my birthday.
This restaurant has a huge vodka selection and can make you any martini you can possibly think of! I've had a black widow martini made for me there, and wanted to try something different. They have a key lime martini on the menu and it tasted like key lime pie!! Yummy! I go there to enjoy my favorite key limetini!!! The bar area is beautiful and the food is delicious and beautifully prepared
Review Source:I used to go here all the time, it used to be my favorite place in Oceanside, but it's been a while.
Deffinetly NOT as good as it used to be!
I ordered the ceviche.... The albacore in it was grey, shiny and extremely fishy. I couldn't believe that they would serve fish that old!
Since that appetizer didn't work for me. I ordered the shrimp cocktail. ( this used to be my favorite). Presentation. Is still beautiful but the large shrimp were deffinetly old and fishy. The lemon and cocktail sauce didn't even cover up the fishy smell and taste.
The quality has deffinetly gone down with the food/fish.
Also,
Not impressed with the new attire for the cocktail waitresses and hostess.
Deffinetly too revealing.
The service was not that great either. The waitress was a little on the rude side.
I won't be going back any time soon.
We were vacationing in California. Â Having gotten to Oceanside, we walked the beach and were getting set to go to the La Jolla restaurant we had heard about.
This called for a search on Yelp and, lo and behold, we found that 100 feet from where we stood was 333. Â Lucky us!
We walked in, got a seat and just enjoyed and enjoyed more.
The seafood chowder was rich and fresh--not a doubt that the fish jumped from the nearby ocean into the chef's pot.
It turned out it was half price wine bottle night. Â Another stroke of luck. Â
This is the type of place where you look at the menu and choose what you like. Â You will get that meal prepared as it should be. Â It also seems like it's the type of place you might visit twice if vacationing--enjoy the first night and then, knowing the lay of the menu--explore the next. Â
The drink menu looks like it's got real possibilities to explore.
Monday night; Happy Hour $7 vodka drinks and $7 appetizers.
Drink 1: White Tiger; Sweet, but good.
Drink 2: Don't know the name, but it had elderflower infused vodka in it. Wasn't a fan. Â Â A little but too much of a perfumey taste.
We got the cali roll (meh; to be expected), Calamari (had an amazing sauce on it. Perfectly breaded and not too heavy) and the Tempura Basket (Weird combo? Bell peppers, broccolini, cauliflower, and carrots. I was hoping for a traditional sweet potatoes to find it's way in there.)
Bartender? Super friendly and nice. The waiters? They have some pretty short dresses on but they are cute and friendly as well. Atmosphere is nice and the bathrooms are really nice!
I'd recommend it; if not for the Calamari alone!
Went here for lunch- pretty typical Cohn restaurant.
Started with the Tuna Poke Tacos, which were delicious (but I do wish the portion had been larger). Â My wife had the Shrimp and Grits which we both loved, I had the Kobe Avocado Bacon Burger which was a good burger but not on par with other kobe beef burgers that I've had. Portions on the lunch entrees were good.
We sat next to the bank of windows overlooking the ocean and it was beautiful, service here was good. Â We'll be back for more.
My husband surprised me with reservations here for our anniversary today. Â I have always wanted to go, so this was a pleasing surprise. Â 333 Pacific was 100 times better than imagined. Â The food was exquisite. Â I had the 333 Filet Trio with a side of the Gouda mac and cheese and my husband had the ahi tuna special with a side of asparagus burniss (sp?). Â I'm at a loss for words to describe the amazing flavors that exploded with every bite. Â I LOVE macaroni and cheese, the Gouda Mac and Cheese actually brought tears to my eyes. Â It was so delicious. Â
There are really no words for the view. Â You have to see it. Â Everyone made us feel amazingly special from the moment we walked in the door until we left. Â Brande, our server, couldn't have been any more exceptional. Â When we were ready, they had a surprise for us. Â Their homemade ice cream cone with vanilla and chocolate ice cream with "Happy Anniversary" written on the plate. Â I cannot wait to go back. Â I think we're going to start making this a weekly thing. Â
Thank you to everyone at 333 Pacific for making our anniversary so very special.
First time coming to 333 and it was amazing. We made reservations and we decided to check out the Happy hour at the Vodka bar beforehand. They have every kind of Vodka imaginable. I decided on the Lemon Martini and it was nice and tasty. They have pretty good seating in the lounge and nice bartenders. The service here is great. Our hostess was super nice and we were sat at a booth. We could see the pier and the sun setting over the water. Gorgeous and perfect for a date night. :) We ordered the calimari for the app and it was great. It had a little of a spicy sauce drizzled over it and it complemented it just right. I ordered the Filet Mignon cooked medium for my entree and it was cooked perfectly and it was super juicy. Mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Yes, prices are a little high but I think it's way worth it for the location, service and amazing food. They have a patio which looked nice and would love to come back during the summer!!
The first time I went to 333 Pacific was for my husband's birthday. Â He and I were not married yet and had decided to have our rehearsal dinner at 333 Pacific. Â Because we had not eaten there before, we thought going for his birthday for the trial would be a good idea.
For his birthday dinner we sat out on the patio. Â It was a beautiful evening and it was very nice being able to sit outside and enjoy the sunset. Â Our server was very friendly and answered all of the questions that everyone had (we were with my husband's family). Â He made some recommendations that turned out to be amazing. Â The appetizers, main course and desserts were incredible! Â After that meal and experience, we were really looking forward to the rehearsal dinner there.
Our rehearsal dinner went off beautifully! Â I had worked with their events manager to get the room layout just right and to select the menu. Â They were great to work with and there were enough options on the menu that we knew everyone attending would be happy with what they chose. Â
When we showed up the night of our rehearsal dinner, the wait staff was all ready to take drink orders and the appetizers were set out. Â Everything was perfect and the entire staff was amazing. Â They made sure we were taken care of right up to the time that the last people left. Â
We're going back again tonight to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday and we can't wait!
This place is as good as it gets! Â
The location is great, right in front of the ocean, and it has great ambiance, plus the service is always outstanding. Â
I am not a big vodka drinker but the variety of vodka at this place is impressive! Â Good selection of wines as well and that is a must for dinner.
The beet salad is a must try and the oysters are always fresh, just the right size, and delicious.
It is a very romantic restaurant but still good for groups or lone business traveler such as myself. Â
Street parking is available but I think it is worth the $5.00 to park in the parking lot across.
The 5 stars is for service. Our server was amazingly attentive and from what I saw gave all of her tables the same attentive treatment.
For example - I cannot eat the bread rolls in restaurants so she brought me a lovely plate of fruit instead. That was incredibly thoughtful. I was wrestling with entree decisions and she was very knowledgeable and helpful.
In some restaurants when my husband and I, who do not "drink" like normal people, order a half bottle of wine people look at us like we're crazy...but honestly, that's all we want.
I give 4 stars for the food. My husband loved the flavored butter that came with the rolls, brioche to be specific.
We ordered the surf and turf for two...with blue cheese. I actually wanted fish...it was my birthday...but my husband wanted the steak and lobster. I'm not a huge fan of lobster, but rather than hear complaints from him I ordered something with him in mind....
Apparently the kitchen screwed up and overcooked the bone in rib-eye so they brought us a complimentary shrimp cocktail. It was good. My husband thinks it was the best he's ever had. Six large shrimp and about 20 little ones in tomato sauce.
When the rib-eye did come it was good, not great. The lobster tails were perfect though. The green beans were delicious and well-flavored and the mashed potatoes were good. I prefer mine with the peel and some little chunks still in there. I don't like them made of russet and they were. I prefer waxy mashed potatoes.
We were quite full and they brought me a free dessert! I took it home and had it the next day. It was spectacular.
I must say, I was worried when I came in and the lounge was loud, the hostesses were young and air-headed - maybe even a bit snotty, but when we went out on the patio and sat down the mood changed. The server made the night. She was a gem!
One of my favorite places to go in Oceanside by far! Beautiful scenery sitting right in front of the pier! Romantic, Sexy, and Fun! The best part is there $7 vodka happy hour that is all day 7 days a week! What makes it so special? Â You choose from a list of vodka drinks they have but the neat part that sets this place different from others is you choose what kind of vodka you want! That's right any vodka from a list compiling over 50! So have fun with it! Dare to try something different or maybe go for that fancy Vodka you have yet to taste.
The customer service is spectacular and their Lobster Crab Nachos ($12) to die for! I could not stop eating them! Â The Decor is Modern, New Age, and Classy! So come in for a date or a Girls/Guy night you will stay here all night! Don't forget to tip the waiters and they have a line also to give to charity. Â Happy Hour anyone???? :) I'm down Let's Go!
My Favorites:
Key Lime Pie
Svedka vanilla vodka, key lime juice, lime foam
Pier View Cocktail
Pinnacle mango vodka, cranberry, pineapple juice
Well, I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised! Â I have tried enjoying 333 for a while now, but every other time I had been there, I was very disappointed. Â The service, the food, the organization, all of it. Â It has probably been at least three years since I have been there.
My husband and I decided to give it another try as we had a gift card. Â We were going to go with no expections.
We arrived and only had to wait a short period of time for a great table! Â Beautiful view of the ocean! Â Dawn was our server and she was pleasant and professional! Â We had the Ahi Stack for 2 and it was delicious! Â
My husband ordered the meatloaf and I the Chicken Roulade, both were excellent! Â We ended the meal with the creme brulee duo, which was fantastic!
Great experience, great food, great service! Â We can't wait to visit again!
First of all, let me start off by saying we were the ONLY ONLY asian people in the whole restaurant...think thats why they sat us in the back. Boo #1. Then they didnt even care to have a waitress come over to ask if we needed anything to drink Boo #2. Â So we asked the next person walking by WTF happened, turns out to be the best thing. Â This lady (a little older, blonde hair) was the best thing 333 Pacific has, she was soo considerate, so knowledgable and so accommodating. Â After the fact that we got over the bad 2 boos, the food was just a little short of amazing. Â The two best dishes had to be the poke tacos and the shrimp ceviche. Â Their seafood was very fresh and the portions just right. Â We also got a plate of oysters and the hanger steak (too bad we asked to blackened and medium rare and we got blackened like they thought it meant we want it burnt and well done). Â
We might come back if not only for that waitress and the poke/ceviche, but we'll see.
I was expecting a good experience here based on Yelp reviews, but I did not expect to be blown away! I absolutely loved 333!
3 of us came here on a Monday night around 7, were promptly seated on the patio and greeted by our server, and over the course of the night we ordered:
-Appetizer of sweet chili calamari. BEST calamari I've had!
-My dish: boneless beef short ribs with a crab, applewood bacon, potato, and zucchini hash. The meat was SOOOO tender and overall the dish just had an incredible flavor!
-Boyfriend's dish: Kobe beef meatloaf with a gouda crust and mashed potatoes. Tasty but a little too much gouda (less is more when it comes to cheese for me!).
-Friend's dish: I forget the name but it was basically a bowl of every kind of seafood option there is. He loved it!
-Bread pudding and a "s'mores for 2" dish for dessert. The bread pudding looked good but the s'mores dish wasn't my favorite. A little too mushy and those chewy things definitely weren't the kind of marshmallows I'm used to...
We also had lots and lots of beer, whiskey, rum, and wine O.o I love vodka too so I had to try my favorite Moscow Mule off their vodka menu, since you hardly see that drink anywhere. It was different with the straight ginger and club soda vs. the typical ginger beer, but still delicious! Shame on the beer menu though, only one IPA offered!
I really have no complaints overall though, our evening here was so spectacular and our server took perfect care of us. The patio was heated to just the right temperature and I kept finding myself staring off at the pier - what a beautiful setting!! I will be back for sure when I feel like splurging, definitely for another nice dinner and hopefully for happy hour sometime. Gotta try those poke tacos and more of that vodka menu!
If you can believe it all the Martinis are $7 in the bar during happy hour, so I ordered the cantaloupe and substituted Belvedere as the vodka. That's right still just $7! Great drink for those who like sweet. I ordered the watermelon martini during dinner which was more refreshing. Great happy hour spot.
As for dinner, (cha ching dollar signs) it does come with a nice view. Food is nicely presentation with colorful lively ingredients.
