9 1/2 speakeasy

I came here while on a trip to Cville, and it's one of the nicest bars I've been to anywhere. The place is small and quiet, with group seating in addition to the regular bar tables, so you can come with a group of friends and actually have a conversation. The drinks were fantastic - tons of variety, and they'll make special requests - and the late night food was excellent too. Best of all, it was totally reasonably priced. I wish a place like this would open up where I live.

I am hesitant to write this review only because I want to keep this place to myself. The speak easy is a perfect addition to the downtown bar scene. Small in size, but perfect for the intimate end of the night drink. The speakeasy has a very relaxed environment, amazing drink list, and the best late night food menu I've ever seen. I went there with a group of 10 after a holiday party and we all agreed it was one of the best places we've ever been. As for choices on drinks they have heavy pour mixed drinks as well as refreshing spritzers. On the menu get the truffle oil and Parmesan popcorn and a panini made right behind the bar. Major points to the no phone calls in the bar, and you must be sober to get in.
