I love everything about this place, how they placed behind Local Burger in the Valley Advocate poll is understandable, but really a whole different ball game when you visit the Mercadante family for breakfast or lunch. This restaurant is a small building off to the side of a side road run by a family. This food tastes like love, the most outstandingly delicious love, EVER. Everything on the menu is awesome, and they're ever so friendly. Local Burger is a bigger operation with the revenue to go crazy in a big town, 911 is a small-town eatery with soulful food.
Give this place a try and you'll want to stop by every time you're in town.
My wife and I are new to Massachusetts and have been looking for a good burger joint since we moved here last September. I regret to inform you that the quest for the perfect burger is still a go.
Ambiance/Service: If its your 1st time driving there you will probably triple check your GPS because it is off the beaten path surrounded by houses and the park. It has a few small tables inside and a bar to sit at and some picnic tables outside. Â For the prices you aren't expecting much but I wasn't put off by this in the least I was there for the food.
Food: My wife had a regular cheeseburger, I had the chili cheeseburger and we shared the grill fries. Both of the burgers were cooked correctly but I wasn't impressed with the chili, I thought it was rather bland. The grill fries are nothing more than a russet potato cut into slices (resembles scalloped potatoes) dashed with pepper and salt and thrown on the flat grill top. The problem with this is they didn't rinse the potatoes to remove the starch so they were rather soggy. Also since we were sitting outside we took one of the ketchup bottles off of the bar to take with us and we got a rather stern reprimand. Apparantly they have ketchup thieves so we had to use the packets just in case we were to runoff with the bottle. Overall the food was ok. Due to better food at the same price point I won't be going there again.
