Memo's Coffee Shop

Since I'm obsessed with breakfast spots, I heard I had to try Memo's.  I went there on a weekend morning and it was pretty crowded.  There was no wait for a table but parking is a nightmare.  Located across from one of the main entrances to the Big E, the lot is extremely small and I was lucky to find a space.  Many people have to find spaces on the street or in other lots.  

The restaurant itself is really big with a pretty cool bar area for coffee.  They also have a large selection of flavored coffees.  The service was good but two different waitresses were waiting on us and there was a lot of confusion about what we ordered and if they had put it in yet.  The food was good but that's about it.  The pancakes, eggs, etc were all good but really nothing special.  I had the banana chocolate chip pancakes and although it was exactly as expected, there really wasn't anything about it that I would be compelled to go back for.  A good place to try if you're in the area, but not really a reason to go out of your way.

As far as breakfast joints go, Memo's isn't half bad. We stopped in because they serve breakfast all day, and we weren't exactly up with the roosters that particular morning. The breakfast menu is extensive, and throwing caution and good sense to the wind, I ordered stuffed french toast. The whole concoction was very sweet and there was absolutely nothing healthy about it, but I can't say I didn't enjoy it. The service was efficient, and prices were very reasonable.

I recently discovered this place when I had got out of court early in the AM. My mom suggested to get breakfast, but didn't know anywhere open besides Ihop. She remembered she had gone to memo's with my godmother. So we ended up going there. Cute little place. Nicely redone. The menu has many options. Their flavored coffee is the best. Make sure to ask what flavors they have in addition to the ones they have brewed, because they can make a pot for you. My favorite is the chocolate covered cherries, but they have not gotten any in since Valentines day. Next best is the blueberry! They will give you skim milk and spelnda if you ask. They offer many healthy options on the menu also. I get the whole wheat pancakes normally, it comes with 2. I get one with blueberries and one with bananas. Theyre really big ( size of a whole plate). Scrumptious. The servers are always very nice also. Ive had some of the corn muffins before, they are a little on the dry side- if you eat them with a fork, they kind of break into crumbles. Besides that the place is great! It can get very busy in here too!! But i've never had longer than like a 5 minute wait.
