We went here in a pinch last weekend because the wait was very, very long at the restaurant we originally wanted to order form. Â So we decided to just get take-out and eat at home. Â The food wasn't very good. Â I'm not one to knock chain food - there are plenty of chains whose food I enjoy a lot. Â Applebees isn't one of them. Â I got the turkey avocado sandwich on ciabatta bread. Â The turkey was ice, ice cold. Â Like it had just come out of the freezer cold. Â And it was slimey - like it was defrosting slimey. Â The avocado was decent. Â The ciabatta roll wasn't very good. Â And it was supposed to come with a green goddess dressing -- I didn't taste that at all. Â I was really disappointed in the sandwich and ended up tossing most of it. Â We split the pretzels appetizer. Â This was the one upside -- the beer cheese dip was very yummy. Â Overall, I just can't see us returning to Applebees.
Review Source:Today's food was good. The service was amazing until the bill got dropped off @10:35pm. I waited/watched patiently but the server never came back for the bill. The server thought I was just hanging out & chilling. Earlier when I asked for the bill, I told the server I was ready to go. So at 11:35pm, I walked up to the Bar & asked the Bartender for the manager. The manager came out & listened to my concern as mentioned above & apologized for this mishap. The server approached me asking me what's wrong. I asked the server "can I be honest?", the server said sure. I proceeded to let the server know that the food was great, the service was great, then the bill was never collected & I was ignored for 1 hour & I had a long day so I was starting to drift/nod off at the table I was sitting at.
I've been to this location a few times & everything is normally remarkable. Today was a 1-star visit for failing to collect the bill in a timely manner. I hope that this is taught during a staff training so this doesn't happen again.
