After a long morning of yardwork, I was thinking of a nice place for a late breakfast. I checked out Yelp, and I decided on Felix's in Springfield. What a great decision!

I had an omelette with spinach and cheese with hashbrowns and toast. It was delicious. The boys had four large pancakes one son chosing chocolate chip pancakes while the other chose apple cinnamon. The boys loved their breakfast, and we all agreed that we would be returning soon.

The owners are very attentive and kind. They serve great food, and they are focused on making your experience a positve one. I think we all need to support local small family run restaurants like Felix's. Great food for a great price! We will be back again soon!

We ended up here when the other place we planned to check out was closed. I'm not sure we would have noticed or tried Felix's otherwise, but I'm glad we did. The service was good, the prices were reasonable, my sausage, egg and cheese sandwich was delicious. The people I went with ordered an omelet and the sweet corn pancakes with bacon. Both went over well. We were also able to watch our food being made to order by Felix himself, and it came to the table fresh off the grill/griddle--two major pluses in my book.

My only complaints would be with the syrup and the juice. I HATE cold syrup on pancakes/waffles/french toast as it cools the food down instead of helping it stay warm. Regarding the juice, I'm sort of a juice snob, and I believe few things are as satisfying as a fresh squeezed, pulpy glass of o.j. to complement my breakfast. But if that isn't an option, there should at least be something that doesn't come from concentrate. Long story short, the o.j. at Felix's was a bit of a letdown. When everything else tastes so fresh and delicious, it's a bummer to wash it down with something so sub par.

Juice and syrup aside, however, we'll go back for more breakfasts here, and I'm looking forward to checking out their non-breakfast fare as well.
