Abis Japanese Traditional Restaurant

It is unfortunate this is the only place for hibachi in Greenwich because the quality of food is so poor and the place is unsanitary. Last time I was there there was a long black hair in my noodles. For their prices they should at least have better quality food and service.

This is my family's go-to place in downtown Greenwich! The food is consistently good and we all like the dinner sets. It's not the best Japanese place, but it's good enough! The teriyaki is tasty as well as the tonkatsu and udon. I know that they also now have a large selection of Korean dishes because of the new owner, but I haven't tried those yet so I'm not sure how they compare to the Japanese selections. It's usually super quiet in here! Solid restaurant although a little pricey, but that's no surprise for Greenwich.

do not spend your money at this restaurant.  it used to be a good place, but it is now the worst restaurant i have ever been to. everyone else i know stopped going ages ago, but we kept holding out hoping for the best.  we went tonight - bad enough the chef appeared to be drunk and when i complained, they repremanded him while we were still having dinner - but the icing on the cake was when i left no tip because of the crazy chef and the uncomfortable time we had, but the crazier waitress blocked our path out and said it was required to leave a tip.  she would not let me leave and, i"m embarrassed to say, she reduced me to tears.  i paid $83.00 for dinner and was crying when i left.  they did not try to do anything other than say oops, sorry.  i am going to fight the charges with my credit card company because i don"t think i should pay $83 to be abused.
