Its under new ownership, so I'll give it an extra star for getting off to a good start.

Had the beef tenderloin special appetizer with asian sauce and it was delicious. i then ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it too was yummy.

The kitchen messed up and sent the burger without bacon, and when i mentioned it to the server (Jose), he then asked if I wanted it replaced, and I said no, it was fine 'as is' just don't charge me for the bacon.

two minutes later, I had a plate of bacon slices and a comment 'there is no charge for the bacon' and so, I added them to my burger and it was yummy.

The beer selection is small, sure, but will expand over time (not everyone can carry 100+ beers like Chuck's Cafe you know!). Craft brewers are well represented (revolution, oskar blues and a few others that escape my memory at the moment).

Next time I come, I"ll try the 'hand crafted' pizza to see if it stacks up with Palermo's or Baracco's.

Give this place a try, its a nice change up from the usual southwest suburban bar/restaurant fare.

Went here for the first time over the weekend with the boyfriend for a nice dinner and some brewskis. We enjoyed a great majority of what this place had to offer, yet feel the service needs a bit of an overhaul.

Atmosphere/Decor- When you walk in, there's the overwhelming vibe of a small pub that happens to be a restaurant as well. The outdoor patio is obviously more open yet also cozy. There's an upstairs area, yet I didn't check it out as it appears to be closed on certain days or times. I like the overall decor of the Ale House. It's a nice place to grab a beer and hang out, or order some upscale bar food with friends or a significant other.

Beer list- Considering this is an ale house, this factor is muy importante! There's a good selection of roughly 15 beers on tap that should please any beer lover palate. Prices are pretty good, between $5-8 for a brew. The beer list doesn't list all beers on tap, so I'm thinking there's some rotation in the selection.

Food- The menu has a large selection of seafood items; the boyfriend loved this, yet I steer away from seafood. Luckily, I found a couple other things on the menu to my liking. I ordered the Capellini ala Arrabiatta which was absolutely delicious and a very large portion! I also got a side salad (lemon raspberry vinaigrette with dried cranberries and sliced almonds) and the ale cheese soup (sooo good!! It tasted like macaroni & cheese without the pasta). The boyfriend ordered tortilla crusted grouper which came with cilantro-lime rice pilaf, sauteed fajita veggies, and a salsa. Was it good? He ate every single bite. =)

Service- There's definitely a need for improvement. Upon walking in, the hostess walked up and stared at us for a good minute before we said we'd like a table. She said it would be a short wait so we sat at the bar and was seated about 10 minutes later.
Our waiter was very sloppy, impersonal, lazy, and rushed. Let me explain; once we were seated he handed us menus and continued to ask if we were ready. We said it was our first time there and needed a few minutes. He came back, I had a question about the pasta, and he assumed we were ready to order yet the boyfriend was still deciding. We ordered anyway. When he brought out my salad, our waiter literally slid it across the table to me while walking by. Super weird and very impersonal. Once we were finishing our meal, the waiter came to our table, leaned over and stared at us. After a solid 30 seconds of awkwardness he asked how everything was.

Overall- The food is fabulous, beer list is pretty good, atmosphere is like a cozy pub, but service is where they need to pick themselves up. Serious improvement in professionalism and friendliness needed. Aside from the lackluster service, we'll be back for some more yummy food!

Service was sub standard.  The food was over pirced for how low the quality  was I.e. frozen burger patties and standard food service products. Beer selection was about 10 beers, being called Ale house I was expecting a lot more. My burger was so greasy thebun was ssoaked by the time it hit the table. I was not impressed and will never go back. Its not worth it. I forgot to mention the pound of salt on my french fries that made them inedible.  Dont waste you time or money here!!!!
