The best thin crust pizza this side of town.
I consider myself a pizza connoisseur growing up on the south side of Chicago (eating Italian Fiesta and Home Run Inn just about every weekend). Â Working in the Rosemont area, I passed by this place quite often. Â I'm so glad I finally went inside. Â The decor has a Soprano's type ambiance. Â I ordered a personal size thin crust with sausage, green peppers and mushrooms. Â The best thin crust pizza I've ever had in this area. Â The crust is buttery and crispy. Â The sausage was full of flavor. Â The green peppers were crisp and fresh. Â Mushrooms very tender. Â The pizza was so good, I had to meet Al. Â The coolest guy around. Â He really takes pride in making a pretty pie (his words, not mine). Â They also sell slices during lunch times. Â You will not regret grabbing a slice. Â I'm a customer for life.
We came by this location because it was close to the hotel we were staying at. After having Gino's East and Giordani's this place can't compare. Although the other 2 places were deep dish this place was not even better then Papa John's.
We ordered an extra large and had plenty of left over which I never touched and if you know me that's free food I don't pass up. The pizza was lacking flavor nor was the crust even crunchy. Â I scrapped off the toppings and ate it without the crust.
It seems to be a local favorite though there were a lot of people coming in and out to pick up pizza but for me it just wasn't my cup of tea.
