Love Amelia's. So far I have tried Callos de Acha nd the Butternut Squash Ravioli. Both were perfectly cooked and the flavors come through with out being overwhelming. Portions are a nice size. Price is right. Service is a little slow. They get overwhelmed if you're there during a rush with only 2 servers for the whole place... but they all work together to get it done. The Chef will even come out to serve so that your meal doesn't lie in wait. Ambiance is quaint and definitely full of regulars from the neighborhood. Byob...plus they have a full bar in case you forget to bring your favorite wine.
Review Source:Pechuga de pollo. Enough Said. The peanut sauce over the perfectly cooked chicken was to die for.
Great ambiance paired with great food. You can't go wrong! My parents and I were all highly impressed with our dinners and with the guacamole appetizer. For desert we split the crazy crepes. This is a fusion menu so you are bound to find something interesting and tasty to suit your appetite.
I know for some of you suburbanites this location might seem a little scary, but trust me its not that bad, I grew up there and I turned out fine. However the location might be bad for their business being in a working class neighborhood that might not be looking to spend a lot of money on dinner. But obviously from all these reviews, word of mouth is bringing people in from all over the city.
So go here. Be amazed. Leave happy and stuffed with good food. And then tell your friends. I'd hate to see this place go under, The food is just too delicious.
