This is a great bowling alley.  My family and I dropped by AMF Marietta Lanes on a Friday night and had loads of fun.  I'm not sure if it is for every Friday, but they had a special going on @ $10 for unlimited bowling.  Who does that?

The food is exactly what you would get at a bowling alley ... but pair it w/ copious amounts of adult beverages and you got yourself fine dining.  About the only real downside is that the beer seemed to be a tad on the pricey side.  A pitcher of Sam Adams will run you close to $15.  Overall, nobody in my group seemed to mind b/c we were having such a great time.

This bowling alley definitely seems clean and well-maintained.  The lanes seemed to be oiled just right, and the shoes weren't old and tattered.  AMF Marietta Lanes certainly ranks up there when it comes to bowling alleys.  I would have given them 5 stars if not for the alcohol prices being a bit high.

If you happen to be a bored and broke college student who does not partake in alcohol consumption, AMF Marietta Lanes is certainly for you.

Very deceiving with their coupons. They boast "free summer bowling for kids!" I printed out the coupons, which make it very clear that each kid gets 2 free games. They never mention any charge until after they take the coupon, get you your shoes, and give you your ball. Then they ask you to pay for the shoes. What happened to the meaning "free"? Without this poor experience, this place could have gotten a better review- but alas, I hate misleading advertisement.

Purchased a groupon here. Can I say fun! I really enjoyed my self. I haven't went bowling in a long time. We had a blast, very clean, could do better on the air & customer services.

Growing up in the area, I always knew AMF to be the more expensive of the bowling joints around here.  The recent, ''Poor Economy Friendly'' changes that they have made lately was a pleasant surprise! Seems that now games are only $2.50 each and same price for shoe rental on a regular basis.  The place has also been kept up pretty well for its age, too!

There was a nice, wide bar where I was assisted by one of the nicest managers around while I was waiting for my party to arrive last Friday (I was WAY early) and I personally appreciated her and the rules on drinking there! They are strict on their drink code which is what I'm all for if it keeps such a fun place open law-wise in the area.  So if you'd like to have a drink, don't forget your I.D or expect 'someone else' to get it for you.

I will admit that I didn't have much to eat there.  The party I was with ordered some fries and I liked those pretty well as far as fries go! But the staff sure was fast and very lively at delivering it (he did a little dance on his way to bringing the food).

The place is very well lit and a good affordable fun place to bring your friends and the kids where they have their own arcade separated from the bar area.

All in all, a pretty darn great place to chill and be with friends, I'll sure to be back and help make it known that it's an easier place to get into these days, especially for us college students!

Ok, so I took my staff bowling out in Southern California a couple weeks ago on a Friday night (the only day we close early enough for everyone to go), and it was $30 per hour, PER LANE, and $4 for shoe rental for every person.  Needless to say, it wasn't cheap - which is what I expected out where I live.

I'm visiting the Atlanta area and we wanted to go bowling, so we decided to swing by here Friday night (and Saturday night).  I expected exorbitant prices and insane crowds.  I guess bowling isn't the thing to do out here because it was $10 per person for two hours, including shoe rental!

Say WHAT?  At that point I expected the lanes to be bottom of the barrel, not taken care of, uneven with a rude staff.

Completely the opposite.  Well-oiled lanes, super friendly staff, diverse crowd (depending on where I go in the outskirts of Atlanta I can feel a little like an outsider) and a good 'ol time.  If I lived out here I'd be coming here every week.  Awesome!

The lanes are always clean and sometimes they have super duper deals on slow nights. Call for details.

Hands down! This is my go to bowling spot! Cheap, Fun and Close to my house! My only gripes are that they need some NEW TVs and more staff in their Bar area! But they have mad specials and cosmic bowling! The crowd can be "GHETTO" at times, but oh well, considering it's location...when I say ghetto, I mean...Talkin SUPER Loud (Like Tasha Smith--Tyler Perry movies), Green, Blue and Purple hair styles(quick weaves), Gold Caps on teeth, Sagging pants and shit like that...but that's almost un-avoidable! I still like this place though! Been going for 3 yrs! Most of the time, the crowds are diverse...all races & ages which I like! Diversity is my friend! :-)

    My personal faves are:

    1.) AMF Marietta Lanes

    2.) Midtown Bowl

    3.) Red Carpet Lanes (closed)

Bring your old student ID and get cheap cheap cheap bowling! I've never been on a weekend, that's just not my style, but on week nights, it's pretty fun. I usually get bored after two games, so I mainly go for the beer. They have specials on certain nights and pitchers are moderately priced. The food is pretty bad, but when you're drinking, it improves dramatically. Everything, including the bathrooms, is always clean. Be warned that even though smoking is not allowed inside, it still has the odor from years of smoke. They need to air it out... it's quite stale. The staff is always nice and accommodating. I like it!

Only come when there are specials other than that it's not worth it. We had fun and went on Sunday after 7. It was unlimited games and shoe rentals for $10.

I adore this bowling alley.  They embody all that a bowling alley should be.  Nice. Normal. Reasonable prices.  Local.  Bowling leagues.  I have never gone to this bowling alley and felt underdressed like so many of the others in this town.  Who ever knew that you really needed to give a bowling alley credit for... well, being  bowling alley, but I give credit where its due and as long as I don't have to pay a $20 cover, I'm happy.

They used to have karaoke on Fridays which would have forced me to take it to a 5, but they stopped doing it for something like Texas Hold 'Em or something.  I dont know if they ever went back, I decided to just remember the good times...

Awesome spot to just go, hang out with some pals for a reasonable place and not lose the rent money.  I'll never understand how they survive with the other one less than a mile away, but...

I bowled here yesterday (Saturday night) with a group of 9 people. I like this bowling alley. The have about 4 pool tables and an arcade. The also have a full bar. However, I wouldn't recommend buying a mixed drink because they lack the strength and size that most are accustomed to.

Customer service was nice. The lanes had a few problems (we had to hit the reset button constantly) but overall nice bowling.

They had cosmo which was cool and the music appeals to all types of people. They had a special where we could get 2 hours of unlimited bowling for $10 which was cool.

I bowled here a few times and really enjoyed myself.  While it isn't the newest bowling alley, it is well maintained and looks like it has has been updated with most of the modern bowling amenities.

They serve alcohol and have a small variety of snacks.  Pitchers of beer are inexpensive.  Even better, on certain nights of the week, they have some really good specials and it hardly costs a thing to bowl.  I'd call for the latest promotions but I believe Tuesday is the night they have really good deals.

The best pro shop in Atlanta. The manager Chris Wells is super knowledgeable, super nice and extremely talented. If you have purchased a ball and need it drilled, don't mess around and come to the best.

And while I waited, I met most of the AMF staff who were extremely nice as well. The alley is clean and the lanes are perfectly oiled.

Lets do a quick comparison and we can see which is a better choice:
    * quick note: I had always gone to midtown bowl for the last 3 years. I Loved it....well i thought I did....
                  AMF                                         Midtown Bowl
    * Cosmic bowling                              Bright lights on at night
    * Nice selection of music                  Wierd music if any at all
    * Music videos                                     None at all
    * Pool Tables                                       None
    *Air Hockey                                           None
*Nice sit down bar                              They have a bar, but nothing special
*$5 per game                                       $10 per game

Ding, Ding, Ding and our winner is...

                            AMF MARIETTA LANES!!!
The atmosphere is just so much better here. If you don't want to be able to see your date you don't have to because its dark. If you get tired of bowling you can go chill play some pool....some air hockey....race car games....you have options....if you want to get a lil tipsy go chill at the bar. There's just a lot more to do here. The price is amazing too. Its $5 per game and $4 for shoe rentals. its about 20 bucks if your looking for a cheap place to take a date.
