I used to dislike going here due to rude staff and high prices.  Now that they have moved and the staff has changed my opinion has completely changed.  The quality of food is always awesome.  The staff is very friendly and helpful.  We almost always order delivery and it usually arrives earlier than expected.

Solid food and come hungry.  A lot of homemade items on the menu. We had the buffalo chicken wrap and royal chicken sandwich. Both were very good and defiantly will go back again.

Nice bar, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and average bar fare. Nothing special but a great place to relax, have a beer, and watch a game.

Staying at a hotel nearby so we went here for dinner. Good not great, wouldn't make a long trip to go here but if it's convenient to where you are, it's not a bad place. Not the greatest beer on tap, but the french onion soup was delicious! The server offered to bake it with cheese, but it wasn't until after I got the check that I learned I was charged $1.50 for that option. Decent atmosphere and the rest of the food was pretty good, standard sports bar fare.

A wonderful Sports bar nestled on the West side of Waukegan in the area formally known as Lakehurst but now called Fountain Square. Hosted by the Giannakakis family this wonderful modern Sports Bar has over 30 Large Screen Televisions that would put any corporate chain bar to shame. The best Pizza in Lake County and a full menu that includes Salads and Appetizers that will fill any appetite. Daily Specials both on the drink and food items and a great breakfast served all day. A newly built patio with an outdoor bar is a popular spot during the warm months. Great for a work lunch or a hangout after work you won't be disappointed. Located next to area hotels this is a popular spot for out of towners who often return every time they visit. Their great menu is available for delivery along with their award winning pizza.

We've visited Anastasia's a few times while my husband had his reserve weekends at Great Lakes Naval Base.  Typically our hotel is located close by so it is a convenient walk for us and we appreciate the fact that it is a locally owned restaurant and not a franchise.

The atmosphere is relaxed and casual with a sports bar vibe (definitely tends to be more bar-like in the later evening hours), but is family friendly in the dining room.

Both times we have been there for dinner.  They have a decent selection of draft beer although I consider prices to be high... $6.50 for a 312!  On both occasions I have ordered a salad for dinner - once the gyro salad and most recently the buffalo chicken salad.  Both salads were huge and came with a ton of meat, but was lacking in the vegetable department.  I ordered my buffalo chicken salad without tomatoes so it was essentially a giant bowl of lettuce topped with large portion of grilled chicken.  Additional vegetables and cheese (maybe bleu cheese crumbles) would definitely take it up a notch.

My husband ordered a sandwich which was also a large portion and came with two sides.  He went with the chicken noodle soup which was good and the french fries.

Despite the pricey beers, our tab was around $30 for two beers, two entrees and an onion ring appetizer.

Nik and pete run a great family business that has been serving waukegan for years.

The dining room is casual and perfect for the whole family. Breakfast Lunch, Dinner, a huge menu with lots of daily specials means you're guaranteed to find something you like.

I have been going to anastasia's since it was called olympic flame. They have since opened a top notch tavern with the BEST selection on craft beers in waukegan or gurnee.

It is hard to find a decent beer in northern lake county. Anastasia's fills that gap. IPA, Geffe, Pale Ales, Porters

If you have graduated from guzzling down cheap beer and want some great tasting ales from a fine family run business, you found it.

Robert Irvine (Restaurant:Impossible, Food Network) would have a field day with this place.  Decor is a mish-mosh of modern, tuscan and cheap. The chincy gold garland, circa Christmas 1976, trimming the window defines cheap.  I think the bar was an afterthought that eventually took over the majority of the square footage.

I got through Moby Dick faster than the menu - way too many choices.  The food we eventually chose was decent.  But, most every diner makes a good burger and every Greek-owned diner makes a good pita.  Oddities: the basket of crackers (said basket was lined with about 20 coffee filters) was enough for a party of 15.  There were two of us.  And the individually wrapped dinner rolls could be used as a hockey puck.

Service was a little rushed, but our order was correct and served to us in a reasonable time.

Spending a week here at the hotel next store. This is the best restaurant in the shopping area. The sandwiches are hit or miss, but the beer choices are very good. Be careful what you order though because $8 for a beer is a little too high. Waitstaff is friendly, wifi is free, and it's locally owned. Tell Buffalo Wild Wings to shove it.

Not a bad bar. Bartenders tend to ignore the less than regular guest. Also difficult to find a frosted glass. Confused why they have no Miller Lite on draft so close to Milwaukee? The past few times I have gone my girlfriend and I have had great service from what looks to be a new waitress. I will say the food here is above average and I can honestly say that I have had the best turkey pita sandwich I have ever had here!

I stayed at the hotel right next door so it was convenient to walk and do takeout. Food was good and staff was friendly.

I came here for an "Christmas" party. Why here you may ask, well everyone from out of town was staying at the Marriott and there was a storm and people wanted to drink. So our original party place changed to here in the sports bar. It's standard grub you can find in Illinois Greek food, burgers, and pizza. I had a gyro it was good we got wings fried zucchini and poppers. They were ok what you expect of fried fare. Overall it was alright. I probably wouldn't go back just cause but I wouldn't complain if someone else wanted to go.

The only 2 times I've gone here is for breakfast.  Both times were not my choice.

Both times I got the breakfast special or early special, whatever its called.  The gyro scramble thing.  Its okay, not great.  Its just cut up gyro meat and scrambled eggs, but for $5 - you get what you pay for.

This time around, there was hair in my food.  Its was bad enough with the company at our table was making it difficult to have a pleased wait staff.  I always wonder because of how those ppl in my group dines and treats wait staff that their food isn't spit on...I hope that wasn't the case this time around cuz I was trying to be is be nice to them.

I'd still rather just go to the Denny's next door.

While here for my sons graduation from Navy bootcamp we went to Anastasia's for dinner a few times. The food is very good and the service is outstanding.
One side of the place is a restaurant and the other side is a sports bar.  I preferred the sports bar side because it was fun, had a lot of ambiance and a lot of cool people enjoying good food and drinks and football games on the many tv's that were on every wall.
The prices were very good, I was surprised how cheap some of the dishes cost compared to prices out in Cali.
We liked this place so much we went three times while there. I had the god father roast beef sandwich, had the Italian beef sandwich and a gyro that was absolutely outstanding!
Good food, good beers, great ambiance, what more can you ask for? I would like to open a place like this in Folsom California someday, we need something like this here.

I ate at Anastasia's after a recent business meeting in the area. My boss rolled his eyes when I described the concept of the nearby Sweet Tomatoes, so we came here instead. I enjoyed the Godfather sandwich. I declined the fries and just ate the sanwich, which was served open-faced with Arby's style roast beef, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and melted mozzarella cheese. My boss ate a burger with fries and soup. The lunch experience took less than an hour. Apparently the lunch crowd features a lot of regulars, since it semed like everyone knew each other.

First rant is I hate when menus have a "sandwich"  and "deluxe" pricing.  So when you order looking at the one price and say "yes, I will have fries" you get charged the "deluxe" price and never get or are asked about the soup that comes with the "deluxe" price.  Very cheap and lame business tactic.
Second is I ordered a Godfather  sandwich, which is an open-faced sandwich with cheese.  Well I distinctly heard the microwave bell go off and sure enough my sandwich came out seconds later.  Ok, I am not asking for alot but the least you can do is stick the sandwich under a Salamander so I can get melted cheese with a nice crust to it and the paprika sprinkled on top another cheap illusion.   A microwave can be a valuable asset  to a restaurant in preparing foods but not for warming up items from the night before.  Busted on being lazy, no excuse.

Yes the sizes are decent but is off-set by the whole "deluxe" pricing.  The sandwich was good and service was average.

I find it very odd that a sports bar serves breakfast, I like it but it is still odd especially since it is right next to a Denny's.

A 3-star place that gets knocked down for some of their cheap business tactics.
