Went here for my b-day dinner on Friday evening - was a surprise from hubby. Â For us, due to prices, this is only a special occasion place - so it was a treat for sure. Â Service was great as usual. Â The suppli were AMAZING! Â The fresh bread & minestrone soup are a plus and are included with the meal. Â I got fettuccine alfredo again but wasn't overly impressed with the sauce this time. Â I almost wished I would have chosen something different. Â I didn't want to complain because my meal was discounted $20 for being a member of the Mille Grazie club and it being my birthday. Â My only other issue was that the meatballs contain veal and while weird, I did order some with my alfredo. Â I was unaware that there was veal and forgot to ask - I don't eat veal on principle - this was my fault, but would have been nice to have a description in the menu & perhaps a disclaimer that they contain veal, pork & beef. Â Oh, and the carrot cake - TO DIE FOR!
Review Source:I love the Vicari restaurants as a whole but this one is marginal at best. We had reservations on Valentines Day. The atmosphere is nice, but reminds you of an upgraded Olive Garden. My wife and I each had full meals. The appetizer was over cooked, the salads were very small and the pasta was marginal. I have eaten at several other Italian restaurants (Lucianos, DiFratellis, DeFranchesco) and would gladly spend my money at any of them over here. They all have better food, better service and better quality for the money.
If you are looking for a better than Olive Garden but less than Mama's Italian kitchen quality of food then you have found it, but other than that we were unimpressed.
