We had a waitress on her third day and she did a great job. There was only one issue and that was that our cheese fries were a really small order. The manager (Maurice?) happened to come by and we informed him that although they were very good the order seemed very small. We were not looking for it to be removed from the bill but that is what he did. It turns out that it was just a simple mistake and the waitress put in a happy hour version. I would have happily paid for them but it was a good response from them.
I did have the roadhouse burger and although very good and cooked just right, I don't think I will order it again. I discovered that I am not a fan of BBQ sauce on a burger.
I will definitely come back. The staff was great and by removing the fries (even though I would have happily paid for them) they have gained more visits from me in the future.
If the steaks are good on subsequent visits then I would change this to four stars.
The only real con was no wi-fi but then again it is nice to have a conversation with the people you're with.
I was craving a nice, big, juicy steak so I decided to go to nearby Logan's Steakhouse.
Our hostess and server were friendly, professional and efficient.
I ordered a glass of red wine that was served in a small glass and tasted 'ok'. I thought the wine was definitely overpriced at $5.95 a glass (overpriced because of the amount and taste).
I ordered the Porterhouse for $19.99. I ordered the steak medium-well stating I like to see some juice inside. I chose the Cesar salad and baked apples as my two sides. The baked apples were very nice but my salad was loaded with wilted and browned lettuce.
The long-awaited steak arrived, I was so hungry that I lit into it but I was so upset with each bite I took. The steak was the thinnest cut I have ever seen in a $20.00 steak. I wanted the Porterhouse because I thought I would get more flavor but this thing tasted like the 'wallets' we were served in college...no flavor at all and tough! The steak had no juice and was definitely cooked 'well' and not 'medium-well'. A well seasoned, well prepared steak requires no sauce but I had to bathe this thing in Worchestire sauce to get it down.
I went away $30.00 lighter, STILL craving a steak but grateful that at least we received excellent service.
