I've been dining at this restaurant for many years. Â The only bad meal I had was the time I ordered BBQ ribs. Â The ribs were room temperature and I hate eating pork that is not hot. Â Applebees is a chain so don't expect too much. Â I personally prefer at local restaurants that specialize in ethnic cooking.
Review Source:I haven't eaten at Applebees in over a year. Â I used to go all the time when I was in high school and college, but the food and service itself just got worse and worse to the point where I just stayed clear over the past years. Â However, it was 11PM on a Saturday, and Hershey PA appears to have very little food options open past 9 or 10PM, which I find hard to believe as it's a tourist spot. Â So anyways, it was either Applebees or some other place that had bad yelp reviews. Â We choose Applebees. Â
The place was not packed at all, with a few groups scattered about. Â Everyone was very friendly and happy to help. Â We had a few questions about the menu, and the waitress was honest with each one. Â We ended up getting chicken wings with no sauce, fish and chips, and some type of Chicken Penne Alfredo. Â The chicken wings were a bit tough, but everything else was really good, surprising all of us. Â
I gave it 4 stars because of the chicken wings being quite tough, and the penne was a bit spicy when there was no spicy mark next to it on the menu. Â
Outside of that, it was probably one of the better Applebees I've been to, which surprised me reading past reviews, all of which were almost over a year old.
