This place is absurdly close to my daily stomping grounds, so when I saw a livingsocial coupon, I jumped on it.
The building has an identity complex. Through one door, you enter a smoky sports bar with TVs and thumping base; through another you feel like you're in your grandmother's favorite dark wood  pseudo-Italian bistro, complete with oddly creepy 40s music playing in the background. And there was still the hint of cigarette smoke.
The menu was varied, but dishes were disappointing. The spanakopita appetizer was only one single triangle. Between three people we each tried to cut the smallest piece off so as not to seem greedy. The penne with pesto and cream was good, but that's so safe, how could it not be?
I ordered the special which was described as shrimp, scallops, crab and vegetables wrapped in puff pastry in a seafood cream sauce and asparagus. What i received were two large eggroll-looking logs. They were wrapped in phyllo dough, and tasted of refrigerator and sweet marzipan/artificial almond...very odd and unappetizing. The seafood was NOT fresh; it had clearly been frozen and thawed. The veggies inside were tasteless carrots and broccoli (perhaps  leftover veggie medley?) and the asparagus was sad and overcooked and STILL had hard, tuberous stalks.
Our server was very pleasant, and offered to replace my meal. I declined and he still charged me full price for my dinner. Which is just as well, since we had a coupon, anyway.
