This is your standard Springfield Asian eatery. Sushi and Thai food . Portions are small an overpriced. The floor manager is a creepy guy that lingers around the dinning room. It's amazing just how many Chinese/Japanese/ Thai eateries Springfield has . They all taste the same and seem to be owned by the same families . Americanized versions of the same things. I'd hate to see Springfield in ten years with the mass influx of all these places opening. If you want good sushi and can't get to Chicago I would stick with Kiku .

Went for lunch. The non-sushi lunch specials look very good: good price, large portions, look tasty. Also a pretty space, which is not expected from the outside.

The sushi was terrible; tasted stale and preserved, and they did not use proper sushi rice. I ordered the chirashi lunch; very little fish and costly for the amount of fish. I think the sushi is actually better at Springfield Asian buffets, which is saying very little. Stay far away from the sushi.

The vibe is similar to Osaka, Kiku, or Ginger but Asian Harbor has the best asian cuisine in Springfield so far. I know, I know, that's not saying too much but the sushi tasted fresh and the noodles and curry were pretty decent too. Also, they seem to really like using honey in their sauces...

I had the Tom Yum Shrimp soup for $4.00. First of all, it was a very small bowl. I was honestly shocked. Plus, the flavor was way off. I barely tasted the lemongrass and the broth was very bland, almost like spicy tomato soup. I asked my server for a side of rice and it was $1.75 for a tiny bowl! If they charge so much, they should say there will be an extra charge.

The only thing that redeemed this visit was the sushi. I had the Rock & Roll and it was delicious. Asian Harbor is good but way too overpriced for the quality.

Shushi was good. We ordered Shushi for two. It's actually really for two, don't order more. We ordered Thai pad also, just so so. Service was normal, the mid aged servant doesn't smile...

My expectation was not high when I tried this place. But wow!! What a pleasant surprise! The lightest best crab rangoon I have ever enjoyed! The Japanese lunch boxes are phenomenal also!  You have to try this place!

I'm having a hard time keeping a straight face as I am writing this review because "best sushi in Springfield" feels like an offhanded comment.

Had the sushi combo - listed on the menu as 8 pcs of sushi with a cali roll.  I asked about the 8 pieces and was told they were tuna, salmon, and white fish.  Struck me as odd so I asked the chef next.  He showed me one he had just completed a minute earlier and named the pieces...two each of salmon and tuna plus four pieces of different fish which were all white...yep, still in Springfield!

Everything was remarkably good and all pieces were both cut properly and assembled right.  The lobster tempura roll was especially delicious but I will probably try the godzilla roll next time around.  We will certainly go back again.

Don't miss the banana tempura either...
