Bellied up to the outside small counter bar area on a Saturday afternoon for a quick drink and break from casino mayhem (although admittedly I couldn't help shoving a couple bucks into the little slot machine in front of me at my barstool - damn you Reno!).  Our bartender was a cute and friendly young guy who served us up quickly, along with a tip that putting $10 into the mini slot machine scores you your drink for free.  My Midori Sour was tasty!

I imagine this place is a lot more rockin' once the sun goes down, but they are a good stop for quick libations throughout your day.  Thanks Aura!

-Went here for my birthday & met some really chill people. The crowd is mixed, but more on the younger 20's side which is nice since most of the people in Reno are on the older side. Also, NO COVER!!! wooohoooo.

-Music is ON POINT. Hip-hop, top 40 & some straight TWERK music. The Dj on the Friday AND Saturday night which I went was a white guy with glasses. If he's there, you should have an awesome time!

-Club was small, but lots of tables and couches to lounge on, as long as there are no bottle service parties.

-Bartenders & hostesses are super nice & friendly!

-Recommend this place to all of my friends who wanna party in Reno!

Its free to get in, do i really need to say anything else?

This is a really small night club, but it gets poppin, the atmosphere is nice and as i said before, it is free.

The bar is great, best cocktails in the SIlver Legacy by far. I suggest instead of buying a $10 drink inside the club, that you walk out of the club, sit at a video machine on the casino side of the bar, insert your $10 and get a comped drink, then cash out, or win some money and then go back into the club with your drink, it works flawlessly.

Overall a cool place to go.

We came in on a Thursday night and there was not a lot going on. We ordered a couple of drinks and listened to the music which was not bad, just not super. The DJ was a little more concerned with hanging out at the bar and talking to the bartenders than spinning a musical masterpiece which could have brought in more people. There was a server that looked like she was suffering through seizures instead of dancing BUT she was the only one trying to coax people into the club and trying to liven up the floor, so I give her an A+ for effort and customer service because she also was taking care of her customers as they were siting on the comfy seats. The bar itself is half in the club and half in the casino which I believe is ingenious and it appeared to be fully stocked. The tenders knew what they were doing and they even showed off a few bottle tricks. The place is set up with a medium sized dance floor in the middle, the DJ booth in the corner but in full view of customers no matter where they are, and there are a bunch of monitors that show silhouette's of female dancers dancing to music with trippy background colors. I was told they had go-go dancers but there were none when I was there. I did see them as I walked by the following night and they seemed to know what they were doing. Even though it wasn't spectacular when I was here from what I say on the subsequent nights as I walked by and just the general feel of the place I believe I came at the worst possible time. I did enjoy the time I spent here and WILL be back on a weekend night and hope to experience what I have been told.

Happened upon this great little club. It was perfect for my girlfriends and I who were just looking to dance. Great music and strong drinks. No wait.  Bouncer (Lou) was so great. Made sure we weren't being bothered by drunk guys, unless we wanted it.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed on Aura yet. The last few times I came here every week night is ladies night ( ladies get free well drinks from 5p-7p). Which I can never pass up, In my opinion Aura makes some of the best bloody mary's. The nights that Ive been here it's always crowded with people drinking and dancing. The interior is real clubby with a ghetto fabulous feel to it.  Everytime i've came here, I always have the same waitress.( very nice blonde chick). I will be returning soon, and this bar will be one on my first stops/

Very insecure bouncer. Got in but not after receiving some flack from the bouncer. If you even want to call him that. Dude is so pathetic. Don't waste your time. Over priced drinks and rude service.

One of my favorite places to stop and get a drink while visiting downtown Reno. The service is quick & attentive. The bartenders are nice & the location is great!

This is a prettty cool & chill lounge inside the Silver Legacy Hotel! Reno isn't really known to have a crackin' night life but Aura definitely has potential especially on Sat. nights!

We were staying in Silver Legacy for the weekend and saw this lounge near the tables! Friday night they were playing really good music (you can hear them blasting top 40 & 90's hip hop from the pai-gow tables)! We weren't in clubbing attire so we peeked inside and the place was pretty dead for a Friday night!

Since we were staying in Silver Legacy, we decided to check this place out on Saturday night and it's supposedly their "GO-GO night"! Because it was more packed than the previous night we decided to come here!

The music was on point on Saturday! Same top 40 hits with some mash-ups! The crowd is little bit older than what I'm used to, but it was pretty diverse and chill! The security guys and the bartenders were also nice! And if you're a girl take advantage of their 2 for 1 drink coupons! You'll probably need it because their drinks are  water downed. But I think it just really depends on which bartender helps you. Cause after going to the same bartender twice, he definitely hooked it up with the drinks!

Over all a good night here! Good music all night!

Great, they're doing a lot better than the pub upstairs. An outstanding number of 6 arrived on Sunday night for a little bit of Salsa dancing.
Aura Ultra Lounge, I applaud you for beating the record.

I enjoy coming here occassionally with friends as I am over 30 now and enjoy a lot of the throwback hip hop & R&B sounds of the 90's and early 2000's.  Depending on when you go, the vibe is pretty easy and the ambiance is nice, nice lighting and decor.  I would probably tend to stay away from this and the whole downtown scene during summer events unless its during the afternoon, as many other women pointed out, it has that, middle of downtown locale which means you may or may not be subjected to being hit on by gross creepy guys.  I usually go with a male companion such as my brother, cousin or husband although still had to have security intervene and get rid of a stalker sexual harrasser on one occassion.  All in all, judge the vibe on the day and time you go and if it seems good, go ahead and enjoy yourself.  Drinks are always good and the service has always been good as well.  Polite friendly bartenders who pay attention to you and don't try to rip you off on drinks.  I enjoy Aura from time to time.

Came here on a Friday night. There weren't too many people. I could actually count how many was in there.

The bartender we had was very nice though. He made small conversations which distracted us from counting the people inside. The set up was interesting. You could actually see everything before you walked inside the rope. The DJ area is very dark and hidden. The seating is nice. They had a lot of lounge chairs.

The people in there with us were a bit on the creepy side though. :( Old men who liked to touch and talk. Eeeewwww. Fortunately, we had enough guys of our own to back us up. ;D

Just visited Aura for the first time this past weekend for my sisters post wedding party.  I have to say the management was spot on as was the waitress who unfortunately had to deal with our crowd of 18 on her own (sorry).  It was Thursday night however, so what do you expect.  We participated in Karaoke and hit the lounge on a good happy hour night $3 lemon drops! Wow!  The manager even recognized the special occasion and provided my sister and new brother-in-law with awesome drinks on the house.  We had a great time and appreciate the outstanding service.  Thanks a bunch!

Nice lounge, expensive drinks, smell of cigarette smoke, a Dj who I wish would put the same energy he physically displays, into his actual set. Nice small venue to relax but to dance, maybe.... Besides listening to a bunch of songs from 2007-2010 only and hip hop from the 90s to early 2000's I think we should have tried the other clubs around the area. Liked the no cover, somewhat strict dresscode. I wasn't let in with my kango hat but 3 guys dressed up in sports jerseys with matching baseball hats had no problem getting in. I guess people like me who rent a suite, spend a significant amount of cash at the tables and bars doesn't get the same easy-going treatment. Nice place to lounge but needs a better music format or better dj

    Super sexy lounge!
Heard a funk band briefly play.
Smallish dance floor but attentive staff and good tunes.

Ladies be prepared to be hit on.

The place was empty when I was there. OK, granted, it was 5 pm on a Friday night and I was waiting for an event to start across the street, but, nonetheless, it was totally empty. The waitress dropped my drink off, brought my change (which she practically tossed at me--maybe so I didn't feel weird if she hung around for a tip, but still stranve), and I never saw her again.

Came here  a few times during the labor day weekend.

    Bartender: friendly
    Drinks: stiff
Specials: pretty good for well drinks and beer
Environment: decent but not busy at the club side

Maybe I came on a good night but they played some crackin ass music, and aura is a definite upgrade to bubinga lounge and other clubs around reno. If you are from the bay, and you trust my bay ears, go to aura lounge. that's waddup

It's hard to beat free ladies drinks daily (except for Saturdays) from 4 to 7. (Just remember to tip your waitress!!) The drink selection is great and the attitude is chill. For as great of a deal as that is, not many people take advantage.

This place is very nicely decorated and had great drinks at great happy hour prices. My date had free cocktails and I ordered a beer. I then drank some of her free drinks. They had only one waitress for the entire place so service was painfully slow. This cost one star. The decor was modern and they played nothing but country. This cost another star. So, if they had decent music and another waitress, I would have given four stars.

Nice since there was no cover for a snowy Saturday, good drinks and atmosphere, lotta seating considering size of the place but the dance floor was  small and DJ sucked!!

Good music but ruined EVERY song since it was either a remix or techno version, even the hip hop songs!  Plus his mixes just didn't flow smooth from song to song, really choppy to the point where the dance floor just cleared out!  Tried giving him a chance, maybe he had to warm up?  Nope, lil over an hour, we killed our drinks and left.

Someone needs to get him an Apple gift card so he can buy more music for his Mac!

This can be a fun place.

Guys, they won't let you in if you are in flip flops and/or shorts. They're a "classy" place, alright. Hahahaha

Well, they have a lot of "ladies drink free" evenings which I have never been too and usually the crowd is lacking on enthusiasm. It's right off of the casino floor, I'm not sure if it's considered the El Derado or Silver Legacy, but anyhow, that's where it's located.

Can be fun to dance at and they have lots of lounge seating which is nice.

Hit up Aura Ultra after being drawn in by the free drinks for Ladies. We thought surely there had to be some kind of catch--NOPE! Free mixed drinks. I had the lemon drop and it was good. My friend has a sex on the beach that was ok by her standards. The cosmo left something to be desired but hey--it was FREE! We stayed around for 3 drinks each and our waitress was awesome and very nice. When we asked what the catch was with the free drinks she just said "well the maximum is 3-4 an hour but if I don't have to wheelbarrel you out of here we shouldn't have any issues with that". HA! Great place to get a buzz going if you are in Reno M-F.

So we came here this past weekend (Sat.) and had a lot of fun! I would agree with other reviews there were 10 of us so we had a good time. We made the best of it the DJ was not very good but the drinks were good, there was no cover charge to get in and we were able to go in and out as we pleased. Crowd was all ages old and young. We enjoyed our time here it wasnt a huge night club but we were not looking for a huge club we just wanted somewhere to listen to music and drink. Dont expect anything huge from this place but its cool just to drink and dance or just listent to the music!!

Came here on Halloween night.... it was $10 bucks to get in (not bad), it was pretty packed but I think only cause it was Halloween. We had a big group so of course it was fun. I made sure to just stick to one bar tender and he made my drinks pretty strong. When I had gone to the other guy he tried to charge me more.... so I went back to the same guy. The music was ok.... We made the most of it and were all pretty drunk so it was fun.

So at the beginning of the night this place starts out a little slow, kinda an older crowd, but after about 11 its a fun place to dance and grab a couple drinks, the only problem is that the dance floor is tiny and it gets hot in there!! For a nightclub its pretty small, so if you are looking for something bigger go to the Peppermill or the Grand Sierra, or to 210 North just down the street.

Uh this place is alright. ZERO talent, but it's Reno, so I guess I shouldn't be too picky.

Comfortable couches. I came here 2 nights in a row, and if you are rollin with a posse, and just lookin' to drink and not score, then its aight.

first time I went, I went with kallie, who reviewed below. so you can read that. I agree with her totally.

I recently went again and had fun, but I was also completely trashed. it wasn't packed, the music was a lot better then it was the first time, and our waitress hooked it up. people were chill, staff was cool, etc.

weird thing, I was there on a Wednesday, when the first time was a Saturday. so I guess to have a good experience, you need to go in the middle of the week. haha.

I'd go again. just to at least see how it goes.

    2.5 stars.

    + Free.
    + EXCELLENT bartenders.
+ Staff was YAWNING and telling me they wanted to go to bed. WHAT?!

    - Uglies. I hate to be mean, but it's true. All over.
    - Boring people sitting on the couches. Go away. You're wasting space.
    - Small, crowded.
    - Music was okay. At one point we all just decided to walk out, though. It was unanimous. That's bad.

I had to entertain myself, and everyone else. I had to go around and make people dance, and talk to them. That's what I do. But never in my life have I been around so many boring people in a lounge like that.

My main problem with this place is the size. Maybe they realize Reno sucks for parties and if they made the place smaller it would look much more busy.

I'm just glad security didn't tell me to get down when I was climbing on stuff. I hate that. I think they were as bored as I was before that.

first of all, if you find yourself partying in reno, i just want to start off by apologizing. you really should have sent to South Lake Tahoe. but since you found yourself here, let's make the most of it. this place isn't that bad. actually quite fun. any place that calls itself an ultra lounge, i'd automatically imagine watt-to-wall douchebags. but surprisingly, that wasn't the case. decent amount of people, good ratio, nice talent running around. so if you are stuck in reno, and looking for some fun, this place is worth a look. although, the drink prices were expensive.

5 stars for the best dancing 40 something white man with black man moves ive ever seen! Single Handedly this man made my Reno trip, this one goes out to you, he was fuckin hillarious! Bouncers were nice, good drink specials, although it is small in there. Music was top 40 hits, nothing to complain over, it was coo.

It was great to experience an exquisite nightclub inside Reno casinos, where everything was connected like El Dorado, Silver Legacy, Circus Circus.  Loved the 2 for 1 happy hour drinks.  Although the only waitress on-duty was quite slow...it was quicker to get your drinks at the bar, then sit back & relax.  DJ was awesome spinning great tunes.  I didn't enjoy the smokers, but it's the Silver State, not the Golden State.  Bouncers/bartenders were extremely friendly, courteous, & welcoming.  We danced until closing, and the best part was that we didn't have to drive afterwards, just headed upstairs to our hotel room.

Change of Pace spot for Reno but if you are looking for a cool place to hang out all night, this is probably not it.  It's a place to check out, grab a drink and listen to some beats.  We went here thinking there would be house music since it seemed like that is what they were advertising in some places but there was absolutely none of that.  Mainly some R&B, some Hip Hop, Old and New School.

We actually came here on a Friday night and the Drinks were 2 for 1 which was a bonus.  What actually was not good though was that we could not figure that out until after we heard some other people ordering drinks and then we heard the bartender saying something.

Put it this way, we ordered two bears and it costed $6.50 for the two beers.  Does that mean that one Draft Beer is usually $6.50???

UltraLounge I guess always mean EXPENSIVE Lounge.  So my advice is that if you do want to check it out, come at the Happy Hours below.  10p - 2a Happy Hour is definitely cool though.  Isn't that when people go out anyways?  Aura hooked it up.  No Saturdays for this deal.  Keep that in mind.....

    HAPPY HOUR DEETS:
    Sun-Fri 4p-8p & 10p-2a

Man the DJ SUCKED!!!!! he started putting on 2pac and west coast, and all of a sudden switched to some remix by maroon5 and ice-t. ......
    ....
    wat the hell.

So I went there last night and it looked really upscale. The lounge itself is not to big. There's plenty of seating around the lounge including a VIP area where I sat.
Some guy said if you order drinks from the VIP lounge and act all drunk the waitress will put it on some person's tab from that area. Sounds shady...
Major ass grabbin and guys gettin dissed left to right.
    All in all... fun night.

    Tiny lounge.  All hyped up.

This was one of those walk in and WALK IT OUT!    You'll be curious by all the marketing banners and displays around Reno to go check out Aura.    I was enticed to visit Aura because of all the sexy posters advertised it like it was the Maxim Club of Reno.    In reality it's a revamped cocktail lounge alongside the Silver Legacy casino.   Large silky curtains separate the two venues.   The dance floor was about 64 square feet.   Couches were small, but I'll give an extra star for the interior sophistication and exquisite nature of this lounge.  I can dig that.

Admission:  There might be a cost, but on this night it wasn't jumping.   The bouncer allowed us to check it out and didn't stop us to stay.

Deserves a Revisit:  I'll give it another try.  It has potential.

I'm glad to see that Reno is finally getting some upscale spots- that dingy 1970's western feel is getting pretty tired.

Aura is the Silver Legacy's newest addition- not a club, but a smaller "ultra lounge".  Its decorated pretty nicely, with a blue theme and lots of pretty lights.  They also offer bottle service, another new addition to Reno.  I'd be interested to see how this place is on a weekend.  Its nice to see a new upscale spot in this city filled with dirty, tired old bars that cater to 50+ gamblers.
