Anytime  we can find gluten-free pizza crusts in the 'burbs, we are there! My husband is wheat-intolerant so we look, and look...this is the best crust in Elgin area and we'll be back. When Aurelio's first opened in Bourbonnais in the early 80s, it was a tough decision to go there or Monicals. We realized they're both so different it was nice not to have to choose. Now they're open in So. Elgin and they have a gluten free crust! Nick's up the road is good, but not as good as what you have and they are able to make a 10" round.
My only beef is that I really think they can make the crusts bigger -- they are 7"x7". For the money, I wish they would take this into consideration. Â That said - we'll be back for sure. Better than Lou Malnati's version -- no crust at all and a wheel of sausage as its base. Ew.
By far my favorite pizza in Chicagoland. Â The crust is delicious and the sauce is slightly sweet. Â I have mine made with Cheddar cheese, which gives it a different, but amazing, taste. Â The combination of their pepperoni and sausage makes for a great pizza. Â
There are a number of restaurants in the Chicagoland area, so be sure to take advantage.
