B.J. Willys Woodfired Pizza & Pub

Wow reading the bad reviews scared the crap out of me for trying this place. I have been watching it for some time because like Janet I too have been looking for a place with a good thin crust. Know don't get me wrong I love a good deep dish and I have my times when just about anything called Pizza will do but with my wife it is another thing.

Came here on a hot Sunday and sat next to the window watching everyone bake outside and see the kids run in and out of the water feature and we decide to try Tiffany's Favorite. Tomato sauce, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, pineapple, cheddar and mozzarella cheese. We had them hold the tomato sauce and put garlic sauce in its place and add tomatoes to it.

It was not bad ! no burnt crust so they must be watching all of the reviews on it and the fresh mozzarella was great. We also had a Caesar that we split between the two of us and the server did it right by placing it on two plates with some fresh shaved cheese on both. He also came by and brought us out extra tomatoes as he thought they could have put more on than one per slice.

Overall I think it was a good experience and I would try them again.

This is one of those cases of a business getting in the way of a potentially superior product. At the bones of it, the pizza is actually quite good.  Nice crispy chewy crust that you can only get from a wood burning oven.  Good list of creative toppings, and the price isn't that terrible, but it's not great either.  They run coupons a lot in the local mailer.  

Why such a low review?  One major offense that I wasn't willing over look was that the pizza was dirty.  There was a layer of soot on the bottom of the pizza which left our hands black.  It left a slightly bitter taste on the crust, but the appearance was the worst of it.

I've been to this place three times and only have eaten there once.  The first time was the opening month.  And the wait was so long that we just didn't want to wait any more.  The third time we were seated, then were never acknowledged by the staff.  Must not have been that important that they get our business then, so we walked out.  It wasn't even that crowded either.

Unfortunately it will be a while till we give them a chance again.  Sorry guys.  Get it together.

Nice people, awful food. My boyfriend and I went to the West Linn location on Willamette drive. We both ordered salads and shared a pizza. The side salad was $5  and cafeteria quality- wilted iceberg lettuce that tasted like it was sitting in a fridge for a week. The pizza was awful as well. The crust tasted like a saltine cracker and the ingredients didn't taste fresh. I have to say it was the worst food I've had in a long time. Don't waste your money.
